He's right. The discussions on how to make water not wet should be kept secret, otherwise the risk of someone pointing the futility of this effort will be too great.
If anyone was around during the whole Condit thing and read about what was going on then, and Kasich's involvement, you may understand why he is uncomfortable talking about back doors.
