SPLC: ‘More Than Half of White Americans’ Anti-Black

During an interview with CNN last week, Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center boldly claimed that more than half of white Americans hate blacks.

While discussing whether or not white on black crime has increased in recent years, Potok argued that a drastic rise was evident, alluding that American whites have become more racist due to a black president.

“Well I think the best data shows that in fact anti-black racism has risen over the last four or five years,” Potok said. “There’s polling that shows that both implicit and explicit anti-black attitudes among American whites have gone up quite significantly between 2008 and 2012 to the point where now more than half of white Americans have these anti-black attitudes.”

For those who don't watch the video, Riehan Salam made several great points. Paraphrased, he said that racism is on the decline in reality, that there are groups like the SPLC who exaggerate and exploit a few incidents, and that the SPLC is profiteering by creating controversy.

Marty Potok is a crook and a charlatan. He should be tarred, feathered and sent to Siberia. This appearance was pretty much just like Salam said, an opportunity for Potok to fund raise by playing on emotion and fear. He also used it to attack Ted Nugent and Ted Cruz. No doubt that will bring him some extra donations.

I know of many blacks who are "anti-black". Some of these black/black haters are state politicians, who make laws!

The state propagates racism, as it always has, since before "this nation" was born... Politics would not be politics without the race issues.

My children have no concept of race right now, but schools will be sure to teach them otherwise. One of my son's good friends is black, and I'm just waiting for the day when they have a "black history month" discussion in school, and the awareness sets in. I wonder what questions he will ask, if any? What will his friend ask? What I do know is that his awareness will come from the school, and what was previously a non-issue, will then become some kind of issue.

Here's to black history month, government surveys, government forms, and all modern "social" segregation - cause race really matters in this country - completely fkd...
