If Ron Paul loses, and Romney eventually loses to Obama, because we refuse to compromise, Ron Paul and the movement will be vilified and purged from the ranks of the party. The police state will become more powerful, the Fed will never be audited, the unlawful wars will continue and the Constitution will be forever dead and buried.

Now is not the time to be reactionary, now is the time to play our cards into the future and do it without feelings, become the cold calculating thinkers we are fighting against. So, please put emotion aside, use your heads and work this through to our best advantage going forward. (I dislike Romney as much as any of you, but we must play the hand we've been dealt, to our best advantage.)

I expect our delegates to put up as much a fight as possible. Whatever it takes (within the RNC rules). Drag it out relentlessly and make 'em pay.

If we compromise, we damn ourselves far beyond the boundaries of this election. If you think we should compromise, you are part of the problem.

We are already vilified. As for "purged" - what in hell are you talking about? That aside, who gives a damn? The Republican party can kiss it. Over the course of the primary proceedings these past several months, they have proven themselves the scurrilous, corrupt, dangerous scum for which so many of us had them pegged. We do not need them.

Wring your hands if you insist. I will have none of it. If one is too timid to act in accord with the dictates of his conscious for fear of loss, so be it. but do not expect me to follow suit. You proceed as you think best and I will do the same. Hedging the bets for the sake of gaining a meaningless crumb is not my way. You are suggesting we compromise on the fundamentals, which is the formula that got us screwed in the first place. How do you propose we unscrew ourselves using this strategy?

Dislike has NOTHING to do with my positions; his overall suitability, however, does. Mark my words that Romney will prove himself the equal of Obama as an instrument of destruction to individual liberty and the furtherance of state power.
