Something's Happening Here $bomb/PUSH - Civil Liberties, Indefinite Detention, Patriot Act

I am onboard for making a video as well. It'll be my first, but I've been wanting to do one for awhile. What date are we shooting for?

January 9th would give us only fourteen days to prepare if we started now. That's a bit too soon. We should have one a little after NH, but before South Carolina.

Someone suggested elsewhere about using Eisenhower's farewell speech. That was on January 17th. It would work with the theme pretty well and maybe we could combine it with the suggested MLK Day moneybomb, I think that would deflate accusations of pandering if we combined those for a two-day moneybomb.

mstrmac1 in another thread suggested this as not responding to the media's witch hunt, but returning to Ron's narrative in an upbeat way.

I think it is a terrific idea.

In my mind, at least, the videos write them selves. This song:

The scrolling text of the indefinite detention language and section number, the patriot act dilution of the probable cause standard for warrants and ability to confront your accusers to defend your privacy, FISA....

It is an energizing theme. They are trying to connect Ron with racism to drain supporters of energy and depress turn out of the young particularly. We need to remind them of what we are fighting for, and there is only one candidate whom we can trust to address this.

Thoughts?

Obviously, we want to be sure not to send out a conspiracy theory vibe. We're saying this is indecent, not watch out for FEMA coffins

But no other candidate is scratching this itch.

vid no longer working....disabled.

Since we've used and continue to use acronyms for our money bombs (BTO) as well as legislation, etc., my first thought was how "Something Happening Here" could possibly hold it's own as one.

SHH. Or rather Shh! as in shushing someone. Paul and his supporters are constantly shushed. Those that oppose all of these bills are given the same treatment. The media has been and is continuously relatively quiet when it comes to much of this egregious legislation. Those that fight for our civil liberties are always given the silent treatment.

Shh! could also add a type of intrigue when it comes to the money bomb itself...as in only certain people should be "in the know" that it's a Paul money bomb: one of Paul's "secret" weapons against the establishment. And, of course, everyone but the establishment should be aware of its occurrence (not speaking literally, just figuratively to help give the idea more juice).

Shh...Money Bomb. Shh! (Money Bomb) Shh! Money Bomb!

Throwing around ideas. Any thoughts?

PatriotOne has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space.

sorry to hijack the thread for this but I have no other way of letting you know to empty some of your inbox

Thanks for understanding RPforums :)

If they need six million why not make it starting asap and a push (instead of a proper bomb) THROUGH New Hampshire? I know (from above) that he wants $6 mill total by the end of the quarter so we could start as soon as we can, I just anticipate it would take time to make videos.

My $.02 , if want to motivate, it's about "changing the course of history". MLK, Gandhi, couldn't do it without the people. You have Ron, and Ron Paul has you. Of course that's a big comparison, but Ron isn't god. Ron Paul is good.

Ok got carried away, but hope those thoughts help.

as an acronym, I like it!

I have this bad feeling that the vilest, meanest, dirtiest MSM bombs will drop right after Iowa. This is because Iowa's vote will be very well counted and publicized by
our side. No Diebold tricks possible. I expect a huge win for us in Iowa. However, Diebold can and will be used against us in subsequent match-ups. To justify the
stark differences between open vote count Iowa and Diebold manipulated counts in other states, they need a reason for us to believe his true popularity dropped after Iowa. Hell, because he got a Penn St. scholarship, they might tie him to Sandusky. You just never know what they will pull but it will be bad.

This song has been in my head a lot over the past couple of months. Seems to be stuck in other peoples' too. I like it. Videos need to go straight for MSM's jugular.
They'll be going for ours. Expand the tent by showing OWS'ers being pepper sprayed. Exploit the 99% vs 1% idea more than usual. Show black drug war victims of
SWAT team house bust-ins. Do the opposite of what Frank Luntz recommends. Photoshop MSM journalists' faces so they look like the aliens in "They Live" as they
spout the "He can't win" business. Don't be polite and subtle. Ask Oliver Stone what he'd do.

And then make sure nobody can think RP's nuts or kooky because of this video.

Let's push for that win, first. I do NOT forsee a huge win. A second place SHOULD give Ron a big bump given how they discounted him, as should a close third if the top three are close together, but they've 'expected him' to win now, and raised expectations.

Did you notice how all other frontrunners first got their issues fairly covered THEN they got trashed? They seem to have skipped right over that fair coverage part with Ron.

But unless they absolutely make something up, there is nothing else. They can say he has supporters who are bad, but every candidate does. They can say he spoke to people they disapprove of, but Ron speaking to everyone and anyone at all is a feature, not a flaw.

There is nothing on him.

And I might think we were a bit kooky myself if we photoshopped MSM journalist faces so they looked like aliens. I think we won't win friends that way.

I really like this idea for a money bomb. Starting this money bomb on jan 3 is perfect it will be a great inspiration to those wishing to propel the campaign to the next level. Plus it allows Ron Paul to take the lead on the NDAA issue with minimal cost

A win in Iowa will handle a push through New Hampshire all on its own. We have to worry about keeping the money flowing after those two early states to keep the momentum going into South Carolina. I think the two-day moneybomb idea with one focusing on MLK and the other on this idea would work really well in countering all potential media strategies, while also giving the campaign the infusion in cash it needs at the time it is needed.

I think we should just keep donating but I really want to see videos on this topic because I think they would go over really well in Iowa and PARTICULARLY in New Hampshire and NO ONE else is addressing this point. The money bomb is extra, to me.
