Something strange is happening with the media...

As the mass media gets more comfortable with RP having no chance at winning they will begin to allow or dictate that their reporters and media outlets write and talk more about him to give the appearence of being fair.

As the spring arrives those in the media that tried their hardest to please their elite owners will begin to back track and say some nice things about Dr. Paul like how he really made things interesting and what a nice guy he is and the sort.

Those that treated Dr. Paul like dirt will not want to live their lives out as human spittoons so they will soon be acting nice and claim they never treated Dr. Paul any different then any other candidate.

sad but true. in the event he loses he will be treated well after the fact in an attempt to satiate us...

except... fortunately, that's never gonna be the case anyway since we're taking this thing all the way.

To LA Time's credit, I often see their "Top of the Ticket" Blog do some fair reporting of RP. I think the writer is a fan. He's been on XM Radio's POTUS '08 Chanel, and said some nice things about Dr. Paul.

Right now at news.google.com, the top hits for Ron Paul are from:

LA Times
Ron Paul's big chance for a modest splash

NY Times
A Quixotic Quest to Be a Ron Paul Delegate from Queens

Washington Post
At McCain Speech, a Paul Rally Breaks Out

Salt Lake Tribune
Where is Paul?

YourHub.com
Super Tuesday...Ron Paul... Regan?

There are also stories from AP and Reason...

Right. It works also that way. Damage already done, so let`s "protent" nice again. Damn sad..

I've been watching CNN all morning today, not one mention.

On the regular Election 2008 segments they have title screens with images of the candidates, all FIVE of them! Clinton and Obama for the Democrats, and "McCain, Romney, & Huckabee" for the GOP. Not one mention, of Ron Paul. They're trying to make the GOP race look like it's down to three people. Bastards!

On a side note, I talked to my dad the other day. He's a republican but still skeptical of Ron Paul. He said, "I saw the Reagan Library Debate last night. What a bunch of assholes! They wouldn't even let that Jon Paul guy talk! They only gave him two qustions, and they wouldn't even let him finish his answers! They cut him off right in the middle of his sentences. Everyone over here thought it was incredibly rude. I can't stand watching CNN, they're all a bunch of damn Democrats. The Democrats just keep saying they want "change". That's all they can say, they're never specific on any the issues. I havent seen anything at all about the Republicans today on CNN, it's all about the Democratic candidates."

I think he's coming around. If CNN is friendly with the Democrats, but is incredibly hostile to Ron Paul, that could help us with some conservatives.

Just happened again on "Your $$$$$, Your Vote" segment on CNN.

It listed the candidates, and what they propose to do to help the economy.

They showed the proposals of Obama.
They showed the proposals of Hillary.
They showed the proposals of Romney.
They showed the proposals of McCain.
They showed the proposals of Huckabee. ( anchor:"He want's to get rid of the IRS. He's been getting a lot of attention about that." GRRRRRRR!)

No Ron Paul!

This is why CNN pushes McWar so much because they know he stands no chance on beating Obama or Clinton for that matter.... More and more Republicans i speak to that are big Mitty fans say that if Mitt losses they will vote for Hillary to be against McWar winning.

In documenting everything on RonPaulTimeline.com, I've made some observations myself.

The thing about the internet - it is flooded with almost an equal amount of positive and negative articles on Ron Paul. If you look hard enough.

Unfortunately, nearly ALL of the positive Ron Paul articles are limited to the internet. Anything in print, television and radio is usually all either VERY negative or a complete BLACKOUT. And sadly, these are the mediums that matter to a majority of the country. :(

Please help me continue to document every instance of blackout/negative offline as well as online. Interesting patterns are starting to emerge, but there's a lot more to document to build our case that the media has purposely manipulated the election by excluding Ron Paul.

Media catch-22

(liberteebell said)...more and more people are wondering why he is treated with such utter disrespect and disdain.

Even my SheeptotheExtreme mother is complaining that the media are deciding who is going to be president. The treatment of Ron Paul in particular has the media is a bit of a bind: they have to ignore and minimize, because to do otherwise is to invite people in large numbers to consider his positions; but to ignore and minimize, like you pointed out, when we're down to this much smaller group of candidates just looks weirder and weirder and will attract attention on its own.
