Would someone please explain what has happened in Louisiana and especially regards to the warmonger tyrants combining together into one pro-family coalition?

I don't know about everyone else, but to me this sounds tremendously dirty and possibly illegal.

I want to know the ABSOLUTE FACTS before I make a judgment and go totally nuts on this forum.

Do you always make BIG CAPS DEMANDS when you are confused about something? Do a little research.

If this was illegal or even just downright dirty I think we need to complain like crazy!

By the way, to those of you who are so scared like little bunnies of offending the GOP there is a BIG difference between making threats and complaining. Remember, the government is supposed to be the SERVANT of the people. We have every right to complain until their telephone speakers wear out!

The long-tme, establishment Republicans got their delegates elected by only promising that they would support Pro-Life/Pro-Family candidates.

Why do you start off with an insult? What is your problem?

I tried to do some research but the whole thing seems very complicated. If anyone could explain it to me I would indeed appreciate it.

I'll even say PLEASE.

Thank you for responding. I appreciate it very much. I do have a few questions.

1) Are the delegates of this coalition legally bound to vote for any certain candidate?

2) When a delegate from this coalition is voted for, nominated, selected, or whatever is the delegate given to the "coalition", a specific candidate, or what?

3) Could you please give a brief and logical summary of how this process works. These darn caucus systems give me a headache.

All the max-out Thompson donors\supporters knew that the way to win in LA was to run as a PLPF delegate.

Ron Paul supporters missed the memo no doubt.

Also why are you so angry about something you admittedly have no clue about?

I have CLUE I just don't fully understand what is happening.

By the way, anytime I hear about the warmongering neo-nazi-con Republicans (Rudy, Huck, Mitt, McCain, etc) doing things at a minimum VERY DIRTY to hurt Ron Paul's chances of winning I become VERY ANGRY!

Why are you NOT angry? Do you even give a rats tail if Ron Paul wins?

Well, lets say a supporter of Thompson was part of the coalition and they were selected, nominated, chosen, or whatever. Are they now a delegate for the coalition, the candidate Thompson, or who?

RP supporters should sign up as PFPL delegates in the rest of the southern states if such a thing exists in those states lol.

That would be absolutely awful! Why would we want to lump ourselves together with a bunch of big government war mongers?

uhhh

uhhh so at the GOP convention we can cast delegates for Ron Paul...every other campaign in Louisiana had their people signed up as Pro-Family, Pro-Life...

And PFPL won...so if we had the regular RP delegates + the PFPL people voting for Paul, that means more support!

jsut a thought.

Let me explain it as best as I understand. (I'm a Texan who volunteered at the LA District 7 Caucus.)

The caucus-goers were not voting for Presidential candidates. The ballot had no spot for candidate preference. There were 50 or so delegate candidates on the ballot, and 15 won. None of those are committed to any candidate, legally. They will go to the State convention and vote for the candidate and delegates to the National Convention that they want. There are also at-large delegates chosen in other manners.

There will be a primary on 2/9, where voters will choose their "prefered Presidential candidate". If no one gets >50%, it is just a beauty contest, and the vote means nothing. If they do get >50%, that candidate gets 20 committed delegates at the state convention.

If the ballot had no sport for candidate preference did it say anything about the pro life coalition on it? If so, that should be a criminal offense.

Perhaps it's more than just a thought. Perhaps a precedent has been set.

No. There were three groups handing out delegate lists outside of the room where the caucus was being held. The Ron Paul group was handing out lists of delegates who were running on the promise that they would vote for Ron Paul. The Mitt Romney group was handing out lists of delegates who were running on the promise that they would vote for Mitt Romney. The Pro-Life/Pro-Family group was handing out lists of delegates who were running on the promise that they would vote for candidates who were Pro-Life and Pro-Family.
