Some reports of Independents being allowed to vote, get the word out:

The poll worker who walked me to the machine asked "Would you like to vote Democrate or Republican or indepenant? I said Republican and he selected it for me. Then I got to vote.

I work with an independent who voted republican (not sure who he voted for).

My wife was registered (no party affil) "she didnt switch parties in time), and she voted. I'm not sure who for yet. It was between Obama (she thinks he is cute) or Ron Paul.

Personally - I think that in Independents could vote in either dem or rep primaries the world would be a better place, also if you could switch party affl at the polls it would better for FL.

The poll workers at my precint were very professional and were proud to be helping at the polls and voting. I believe that they must have been given bad information by either election officals or one or both of the political parties. The elections officals should be held accountable - not the poll workers who are doing a great job.

Rush was talking about this, how people were just walking up and asking for Republican ballots. His story was that they did this for McCain, but I wouldn't mind if the story became that they did it for Paul.

When I was at the at the voting machine today I overheard a poll worker tell an elderly lady that she was registered as a Independent and therefore could not for for the presidential candidates but could vote for the Florida state proposals.
