Why mining equities are the only equities worth considering.

You know what you are getting, usually with upside.

Metals companies, unlike more traditional business types, can not be accurately assessed using common valuation methods such as PE ratios. These companies are typically called Asset Plays. All mining companies have different quantities of metal in the ground. You are not just paying for profit making ability but also this untapped inventory of mineral wealth.

Compare this with American Eagle or any other retailer, they don't have stocked clothes they are pulling out of Earth magically like mining companies do. They have to pay the material prices around the world, have them sewed up and colored and hope they picked the right trend that year and its a good Christmas.

With a metals company the product is already in the ground just waiting to be yanked up an embroidered tag that reads "Made by the magical powers of God"

Years in advance they know they will have a buyer. Their main concern is should we sell the rights to this future production now or wait and let it come to market at the spot price at that time.

Even compared to a agro commodities farm, you can't bank on future production like growing soybeans, what if it doesn't rain that next year?

Mining equities are the only stocks worth owning right now.

thoughts, arguments??

They are high on the list.

Food stocks also very high on the list, but I would place ACTUAL food on a much higher level. Say for example, an allocated account of wheat.

Metals essential for money and ego

Food & Water essential for body and mind survival

what is essential for soul survival? :)

Did you pull this from an article? Does the author recommend any stocks in particular?

Seraphim, i am looking at food stocks as well right now. Some farm and see companies will be valuable in the next 5 years I believe.

Anybody know any mining company stock that handles rare earth elements? With China slowly shutting off the rest of the world from 98% of the currently available rare earths it seems like a no-brainer.

the author recommends no other than La Mancha Resources, like I, always tilting at those windmills ;)

IAMGOLD holds one of the worlds only major Niobium producing mines, check them out I was a small time holder back when I bought it at $2.50 a share, before $4 & $6, $8 and firstly $10 :D

Also SQM is the world's largest lithium producer, right out of Chile and pays a 2.5% dividend!

For my full report send me 1 OZ of Silver hehe

or 1/2 Oz of Gold for my full life report

Would anyone be interested in investing in my farming operations? Currently I hold 5.1927543 acres and I'm planning on expanding to 10.3856086 acres. :D

I just planted a quarter of an acre of winter wheat. Next year, this investment will be ripe for harvest, with an expected return of 60 to 1 on the low end. :D

I just got my new harvester in this week from the Marugg Company. http://www.themaruggcompany.com/
