I've still never heard anyone of either persuasion talk about it like mentioned in this thread and doubt many people actually care - but I would guess that some people might be offended because people who have caught the flu don't want their name to be associated with swine or something, being referred to as swine obviously still being considered a grave insult in some places - other cultures get offended by the weirdest things, give someone the 'thumbs up' in the wrong parts of the Middle East and you'll get your head kicked in

I'm offended by Asians eating cats, dogs, rats, monkeys and other animals, so why would just a name be offensive to these people?

Also who exactly is offended and wanting the name changed? Barack Hussein Obama? the MSM Israeli owned media like Fox and CNN? Or the actual people by the millions protesting in the streets of Jewish and Muslim nations?

Yeah, because that's way less offensive than swine flu. Are they trying to start a race war, or are they just afraid that the US will reallocate some of their subsidies to Mexico?

Maybe something good can come of this after all... and just in time for BBQ season! Pork prices have been going up ever since corn started being subsidized for ethanol use.

I pull ours into the detached garage and brave the weather through the whole year, weather be damned. We never put the grill away for the winter.

I'm happy to use the Weber all year, as I'm experienced enough with it that I don't have to hover over it to get good results. But the detached garage isn't that tall--and the wooden rafters certainly are that old...
