I stick up for people on the left as much or more than anybody on this board. Michael Moore, Kucinich, Chomsky, environmentalism (not tied to global warming)... all these people and issues I stick up for. I mean, they are obviously missing the big picture, but they have done a lot to help people begin to understand the true nature of our system even if they advocate a false solution.

But, I mean, come on. What kind of statement is this??? It is such an oxy-moron, even the most liberal person out there should be able to see the idiocy of the following quote:

Two weeks ago, we told you about an exciting, youth-led grassroots movement to break up the banks called A New Way Forward.

On Saturday, A New Way Forward is sponsoring a nationwide day of action to demand that our leaders (1) nationalize (2) reorganize, and (3) decentralize the banks as a first step toward building a more just economy.

So there's the info on the rallies, it's on a Saturday so perhaps some of you would like to educate these people about how nationalizing the banks is doing the opposite of decentralizing them.

Maybe we can teach them about how getting rid of the Federal Reserve and having an honest monetary system would decentralize the banks. I dunno, I thought I'd at least put it out there. Here is a group of people interested in how the banks are screwing us over, so maybe some of them will be open to the message.

Personally, I think Michael Moore is a liar and manipulative asshole. I don't agree with Dennis Kucinich's political positions for obvious reasons, but I do support him in the fact that he's one of the most honest men in Washington. Furthermore, I will also flat out admit that despite Kuchinich's liberal/borderline socialist policies, he would probably not cost us as much money as someone like John McCain or even a president like Ronald Reagan.

Can you change "SOME" to "MOST" or ALMOST ALL

Now that's CHANGE I can believe in~!

I think all liberals are stupid. I am not going to comment about most conservatives but You know what I am thinking. I am not opinionated about it beause I am basing my opinion on fact. We have so much corruption and evil going on but the above mentioned groups turn a blind eye. I was waiting at my little girls school to pick her up and I had a amazing thought. I am tired of being a slave. I am tired of working my ass of to earn fake money with negative value. The worst part about it is my working hard is just benefiting the people at the top of the food chain and I am not talking about the owner of the company I work for. Most people do not even look for the truth and they sit around drowning their misery in alcohol, drugs, television, sex, racism, & what ever thing people do. These people have no idea that they are slaves and soon they will loose all of their freedoms. The only freedoms they will end up having in the future is to starve or not.

That's not true, they just think that the government is the solution and we just need to put the right people in.

I mean, tell Noam Chomsky or heck Ralph Nader that there is corruption and evil going on and they will laugh at you  That's they're whole career is trying to use government to get rid of evil and corruption..

I completely agree. His medical documentary was a lie after another lie. I can tell you that goverment healthcare here is not at all like in his movie (I wish it was). In the hospital near my home, you have old people half naked being checked in the corridors because there is no rooms for them. You have to wait 3 and 4 hours usually in urgencies... Its a disaster.

Keep in mind that "nationalization" and "receivership" can be construed as the same thing. The banks need to go bankrupt - because they are. But doing so essentially requires that they be put into receivership under supervision of the FDIC. It doesn't mean that the government tries to operate the industry at a profit for themselves (that is, of course, absurd). But it means that the government takes control of the liquidation process.

I don't agree with it, but that is how your law is written. Don't be afraid of "nationalization" in the financial industry as some sort of socialist takeover. It isn't really.

I think it's about the same, a little less for Kucinich.

You don't need to "take over" liquidation.

Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11 are excellent films. Bowling for Columbine actually focused almost exclusively on the media as the culprit and they never really did blame lack of gun control. I think that was one of the initial ideas he had for the film, and it shows in his scene with Heston which I wasn't a big fan of.. but the rest of the film including the interview with Marilyn Manson are really important.

I had no idea how much the media manipulated our country until I saw that film, so I was NOT surprised when Ron Paul was shut out by the media. That allowed me to use my time more wisely by canvassing during the primaries rather than hoping that the media would suddenly turn around and understand. So in that sense, Michael Moore has helped our movement.

I've never seen Sicko, but I have to say that Michael Moore has contributed a lot of very positive things to humanity. I heard that Sicko was actually a pretty good attack on HMOs, which are essentially mandated by our government. So my point is that you could probably take 75-80% of Michael Moore's material, add a few scenes and turn it into an extremely informative libertarian documentary.

Farenheit 9/11 got a lot of people suspicious and from that a lot of people began questioning the events of 9/11 themselves.

He didn't provide a complete picture, but he provided a very important picture and an important perspective on the issue. I mean, he essentially tied the events of 9/11 to Bush's best buddies in the Middle East. It doesn't take going much further than that to see what really happened.

I think all liberals are stupid.
I need to vent this even though it is warningable.
So you think I'm stupid?
How come all the people here seem to think the same way.
Just because we have a different, IMHO better, philosophy doesn't mean we are stupid.
And how come you didn't say you think all republicans, NOT people with 'r's next to their name, are stupid as well?
It's like the sheeple here are all sockpuppets of an anti-liberal person.
Luckely you aren't in charge or we would be locked up and stripped of our citizenship status.

Liberalism is a disease.

No it's not. It's just been hijacked by socialists. Mises actually wrote a book in '27 titled "Liberalism" offering it as a solution to his damning '21 attack on "Socialism".

Both are required reading for what we now call "Libertarians."

You don't need to "take over" liquidation.

Of course we don't "need" to have the state take over failed banks. But that is the way the law is written. Unless you insist on changing bankruptcy laws first. That could take years.

The only two options now are FDIC receivership and liquidation or, well, what's already happening.

Looking at you're posts, yes. No doubt. Stupid, and the fact you read this forum and still don't get it, very stupid.

Very, Very...Very Stupid.

Every political movement, every religious organization and every other kind of group you can think of has stupid people in it. There is no exclusivity to it and by the same token there is no inclusivity in that all members of any of those groups are stupid because they belong to a group which includes stupid people.
