Yeah, we got 5th in the straw poll, but from the sound of it a majority of the delegates are for Ron Paul?

I know this doesn't get us the media coverage we'd have liked, but it's still something to be happy (ecstatic) about, if the reports about delegates I've seen posted on the forums is representative of most precincts.

which posts or what exactly is the delegate count?

My husband told me earlier we got 4% of the Iowa Delegates.

There isn't a delegate count yet... won't be for some time. The straw poll % and "delegates" being reported is meaningless beyond the media it generates. Delegates from each precinct were voted on after the straw poll on Thursday.. these delegates will be the ones that eventually vote on the national delegates, from my understanding. And if the posts in this forum are indicative of how things went across Iowa, we have anywhere from 40-70% of those.

also... look at this...

EVERYONE needs to go to this page and find out what the process is in their State.

Ah.. that lays it out nicely... and was what I thought (if in a lot more detail.)

So, if the posts on the forum thus far are representative, we effectively took Iowa... too bad the media from a 1-3 straw poll finish would've been more valuable than an actual 1st. :P
