Mitt,
if you want my vote in the general election this is what I want from you.

#1, I want you to endorse, hold joint fundraisers and maybe even joint town halls with as many of our liberty candidates as will agree to doing them. And don't ask me who the liberty candidates are, you or your people have a list i'm sure of it. I want you to help them win their elections and help yourself in the process. These guys might very well prove to be a pain in the ass if you are president; but they might also serve as a conscience.

#2, I want you to put the word out to the GOP leaders in states where we are in the process of taking control to stop the hijinx, the money transfers, the disunity and tell them to give us our shot at the helm where we have earned it.

#3, You will allow Ron Paul to be nominated from the floor of the convention if we have the #'s to do it.

Those are my bare minimums for a just a vote in the general election. You want anything more and the price is gonna go up.

If Romney allows Ron Paul to be nominated on the floor and in the event Romney still won... I won't vote for Obama. That is as much as I would say =p.

Ron has been polite to Romney... I do hope Romney shows the same to Ron AND Ron's delegates at the RNC.

Fair enough.

I want Romney to allow Ron Paul to choose his cabinet, like Cheney/Bush.. If Ron Paul could chiose the sec treasury, sec defense, cia director, etc, that would be what I need to vote Romney.

nice one. how about just RP in the cabinet in a position they could both agree upon. would that work?

I'm going to try this yet another time.

Many people here insist on staying in the Republican Party.

A political party is a collective of people who will -- for the most part -- stick together on the same team when the candidate of that party is chosen.

As individuals, registered Republicans are in no way obligated to vote for their party's candidate.

BUT

When one particular candidate's supporters decide en masse that they just cannot accept, and will not vote for, the party's nominee (especially as all other former candidates' supporters have fallen in line behind the presumptive nominee) it's a sure sign that the particular candidate and his supporters DO NOT BELONG IN SAID POLITICAL PARTY.

Any price we put on our votes will be given the attention it deserves (zero)....because to give in to our price would be to lose the vote of his base and the support of all other former candidates. Why should he want to do that?

Not sure if I'd call it a "price" in my case, but, here are the necessary concessions for me to even consider voting for Mitt Romney (some of which I know full well would never happen, perhaps even in a perfect world):

-I want Mitt Romney to publicly announce via conference that he has, in fact, "flip flopped" on many issues for political expedience. Among these being gun rights, abortion, and health care, to name a few

-I want Mitt Romney to fully acknowledge the size and scope of the Ron Paul grassroots supporters. I want him to apologize on the media's behalf for belittling us and labeling us in many negative ways. While he's at that, I want him to ask the GOP to write a formal letter of apology to Ron Paul and we, the supporters, for the same treatment.

-I want Mitt Romney to step aside and accept nothing more than a cabinet position.

Just to name a few that come to mind at the moment.

Huh, how would him supporting our republican candidates hurt him with his base. his base is simply "team republican". Him doing joint appearances and join fundraising with our undercard candidates could certainly help their campaigns.

But if he gave into your demands you wouldn't be able to uphold your part of the bargain of voting for him in the general election. :) I think it is gonna be interesting when he goes full tilt anti undeclared war in the general election.

here's mine:

1) Run on Ron Paul's platform and policies. ALL of them. Every last one. Since you have changed your positions in the past, it'll be easy enough for you to do it again and claim that you "saw the light" and were convinced to do the will of the people. Otherwise, you have no leg to stand on against obomba in a debate, and will not win an election against him. You will have to then actually follow your stated platform, or you will be primaried and fired in 2016.

2) Pick Rand Paul as your running mate. Surely this came up in your little meeting with him, and most likely the two of you have already worked out some sort of deal. Due to his age, Ron will not be in as good of a position to primary you in 2016 as Rand will be, should you fail to follow the platform you campaign on. Rand can either run in 2020 as the successor to your highly successful and popular administration, or he can resign in 2015 and take you out in the primaries.

3) Ron gets a prominent position of his choosing in your administration, and gets to choose ALL of your cabinet position picks. ALL of them. This includes SC nominations.

Do it, and you will not only get to go down as the most popular President in modern history, but you will also get a second term. Rand will be able to then run in 2020, and Republicans will have the White House for the next 16 years at least. You get to win. The Republican party gets to win. The American people get to win. It's a win-win situation all around. Do it, and you can't lose.

Don't do it, and you do lose. You won't get my vote. You'll never defeat obomba. You'll be nothing more than a footnote in history, instead of history itself.

Because his base doesn't see us as true Republicans (why should they? We don't vote with them for the most part!) Also because his base can't grasp the concept of true liberty the way we do, so they reject the message -- and, therefore, the candidate(s).
