I'm never in debates. I'm just the kid who says +1 who I agree with. Oh well, I was actually on Kade's side about definitions.
Not to mention the fact that most older Americans actually get off their sofas (and their computers) and GO VOTE.
Generally they vote party 100%.
Gee, that's just exactly what the Boomers said in the 60's TOO.those old folks will soon NOT be voting and will be the time that we can take over the larger voting pool anyways. These old "party supportive" voters will soon be gone and those who vote for the CANDIDATE hopefully can help make our elections actually make sense and not just a damn horse race like it has been since its inception.
Now on the main topic, hardcore libertarian? just remember this is JUST A FORUM, this is NOT the revolution, the movement or whatever you want to try and label it. The day the march was there was no drop in traffic that I saw which makes me realize the TRUE REVOLUTION is offline or at least outside this forum doing PRO-ductive things outside their house, room or whatever.
Gee, that's just exactly what the Boomers said in the 60's TOO.Deja vu.

I don't think this is a petty disagreement.
How about instead of Truth trying to convince us to not vote, he is trying to convince us to vote for McSame? Still a petty difference? And if so, what is a major difference?
230+ YEARS and counting. The boomers in the sixties said don't trust anyone over thirty. He seems to be saying don't trust anyone over seventy. So, yes, the exact same thing. Hope the theory pans out. We can't wait a whole lot longer.
I don't care who you vote for. In my opinion, it doesn't really matter who you vote for. Neither candidate has made a point of talking about balancing the budget or shrinking the government. Neither of them want to bring our troops home from Germany, Japan, South Korea, or Afganistan.
This election's already over, my friend. If you want America to move in the right direction, your vote for President this November isn't gonna change a thing. You might have a good congressman or senator to support, I don't know. But if not, all you can do at this point is start getting ready for the mid-terms in 2010, and the next Presidential in 2012.
That’s nice.
I do care if and who people vote for. So does Truth Warrior apparently. So does Ron Paul.
Opting out of voting is never going to solve anything, and ignoring those that try to steer people to such a movement is counterproductive.
Ps. The election hasn’t even begun.
If you truly believe in freedom, you should be aware that social conservatism is as damaging as economic liberalism. And when the two come together, we're hopelessly fucked.
The folksy communitarian types who care mainly about abortion and immigration have hurt us. Case in point would be the campaign not letting Howard Stern interview Paul. That kind of blue-haired idiocy does not help anyone.
That post reminds me of Simpsons Treehouse of Horror VII. The aliens, Kang and Kodos, take the places of Bob Dole and Bill Clinton. During the campaign, their true identities are revealed, and they admit to their plan to take over the Earth. The voters then engage in a debate about which one is worse, and proceed to vote one of them into office. When someone suggests voting third party, Kang says, "Go ahead, waste your vote!". So then after Kang gets elected, it shows a couple people working in the slave labor camps, and one says to the other, "Hey, I voted for Kodos!"
Like I said, it's already over, man. Real change ain't gonna happen for at least four years.
Am I right? As I read through the majority of the posts on these forums there is an alarming trend of intolerance for us good ol states rights conservatives. I believe that a constitutional republic is what was intended for this country and believe that a return to the ideals of such as limited government and Federalism is exactly what this country needs, but the libertarian occult nature of these forums is out of control. Almost enough to turn a FredHead convert away from this movement. What gives?
