SO are we all considered libertarians now????

If you believe in property rights and freedom of contract, you're a libertarian.

That's stretching it.

Honestly, I would be wiling to bet that most of RP's support is currently non-libertarian in the labels they apply to themsleves. We've got Constitutionalists, liberals, conservatives, libertarians, anarchists, voluntaryists, minarchists, and a while back there was an anarchocommunist i ran into. It's a big tent. Let's avoid labels.

Paul has created a big tent under which libertarians, constitutionalists, conservative republicans, objectivists, anarcho-capatilists, conspiracy theorists, zionists, white supremacists, liberal democrats, fast food workers and billionaires (lots of those around!) can all gather to promote the cause of freedom. Everyone sees their own personal agenda in freedom!

Is that right? Well, I am no Libertarian. I've been a strict Conservative interested in Liberty, Freedom and the Constitution since I was born. Although, I agree with alot of Libertarian philosophies I wouldn't consider myself Libertarian at all.

well pretty much. People don't understand that almost all of ROn Paul's positions are libertarian, from economy onward, only he doesn't agree with many Libertarian social issues, such as abortion - which libertarians are liberal on. Meaning Ron Paul is a Conservative Libertarian. Simple as that.

Why do we have to be something? Why can't we just be people who want our country back to doing the right thing for the right reasons?

I'm just some guy who cares.

i hate political labels. i honestly have no idea what it means to lean to the right or to the left. i usually zone out when people bring up labels. i'd rather talk about the issues.

Why does there have to be some new label. SOme of us have been voting like this in the past two or three general elections. Ever heard of Howard Phillips or Micheal Peroutka? I have always considered myself a constitutionalist and I think that is what I would label RP. Libertatrians tend to be pro-choice and RP is not. I have a lot in common with Libertarians, but do not consider myself one.

We are patriots. We don't have to be identified by anything other than that. Just freedom loving American patriots.
