He was just arrested this past weekend. Apparently, Politico keeps re-circulating the same story about Snoop wanting to meet with Obama to discuss legalization. Coincidentally, the latest re-circulation of the story coincides with the arrest. Is this far-fetched? I couldn't think of a more hip, influential ally/endorsement.
