Small consolation, but fun: Blog poll pits Obama against Ron Paul

:)Sure, it's just another Internet poll that Ron Paul will probably dominate, but could you imagine if he somehow managed to get something like a million votes between now and Oct. 6, when the poll closes? With so much political coverage at every level of media - and especially in the wake of the fakeout (I mean bailout) - a huge Paul victory in this admittedly unscientific poll could get some attention. That attention might lead to an actual article or two or three, or even a network news report, on some of the Sound Money ideas Dr. Paul has been espousing for decades.

Maybe. Or maybe not. But if nothing else, it's a fun poll.

Vote & spread the word in in the matchup that should have been: Ron Paul vs. Barack Obama. Poll open through Oct. 6.

From The Punditty Project's "Notes on the concept behind this poll":

"One can be fairly certain that rather than using soundbite lines about “not being elected Miss Congeniality,” a GOP-nominated Paul would have maintained a serious demeanor and talked straight with the American people. Instead of finding himself in the easier position of correcting McCain’s demonstrably inaccurate assertions, Obama would have been forced to engage in a debate with Paul on the merits of their respective approaches to rebuilding a strong economy."
