I was able to pick up 30 1oz rounds today at $13 each from a local coin shop. $3 over spot isn’t bad these days.
shit man! thats a killer deal

The paper price of metals reminds me of GW Bushes, Obama and McCain when they speak...complete and utter B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!! No one holding metal now would sell at spot unless they were desperate.
This is all price manipulation at its worst. Anything that has price controls with higher demand than supply ends in shortages. In a natural market higher demand would cause higher prices thus incentive to produce more available product.
This is not a natural market, do not believe the current paper price unless one also believes that Obama will save us from this mess.![]()
So, would it be a bad idea to buy physical silver now? Please clarify for stupid me.
I have 100 of the 2008 SAE's I'm selling for $21.00 each. If you need some and can't find them cheaper, just pst me. This is a break-even for me. These came from the West Point mint and have not been taken out of the tubes.
Relax!
You fucks want everything tomorrow.
Go put your money into the stock market.
Or find a Bank you can trust.
Apmex's top 40 is completely sold out. http://www.apmex.com/APMEXTop40/Default.aspx
Bullion direct is out of silver only delayed preorders, but still have gold in many sizes(but well over spot for smaller coins).
APMEX has some their big silver bars up again. They must have pulled them when the price was dropping so fast this afternoon.
do you know how long is the delay? was thinking bout getting some silver from them
Silver is down 8-9% at 1:24pm EST Gold is down 1-2%
Is it the beginning of the "global action" plan we were hearing about?
So does it make sense to buy gold/silver on this dip, or food/medicine/ammo look like a more appropriate choice now???
(By the way, US and other government bonds are also going down slowely day after day. It seems that cash is the only thing that people wanna be in... But considering the artificail and controlled nature of fiat currencies it's also a risky move ... )
For eagles,
"Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery, pending US Mint action."
No word on the Canadian Bank, No more Austrian Coins, for a while they were the only ones in stock.
(You could try the Nucleo Exchange, it is like ebay but PMs you order under the ask column are shipped by individuals to your portfolio in a vault at Bullion Direct, then you can can have it shipped to you when you want. I have not tried this, so I can not say how reliable or fast it is.)
According to the mint memo they are being allotted or rationed out, so it could be months before shipping.
The US Mint memo reads:
October 6, 2008
MEMORANDUM TO ALL AMERICAN EAGLE AND AMERICAN BUFFALO AUTHORIZED PURCHASERS
