It sure came up quickly! Up $55 from lows two days ago and jumped $35 in just a few hours this afternoon.

Yeah, after the close (12:30 p.m. EDT) in the access market. Gonna be interesting to see what happens in Asia on Sunday night our time.

Well, if you plan to go long on silver, then why not take delivery and keep it awhile?
For all anybody knows, the paper silver may not be there when you actually want it.

Edit: I would consider the physical delivery as insurance that I actually have some silver.

Good advice Dr 3d. We were up 4% on silver today. Hope that signals a turnaround. Somewhere in here we have to see a bottom and build on that.

Ok you want to get back the money you spent from the donations? Here is what you do. tommorrow at the opening of the stock market buy 20 MER puts October $17.50 which costs you around $5,500 depending on the open.

Sit on this and in 3 weeks you can double the money and pay back all you spent for personal flings.

Also sorry to get away form topic here but just want to go on record about my reccomendation to help torchbearer pay back the money he may have spent from the campaign donations he recieved.

Well I suppose not. Too bad. Oct. $17.50 MER puts opened at $3.50 each. (up %20% from Thursday close. However they closed today at $4.20 or 20% from the open. So you could have invested $7,000.00 at the open and ended the day at $8,400.00 This would be a profit towrds the money people gave you and that you spent of $1,400.00.

Now there will be some volatility on these in the next weeks but If you have guts and hold them then Mer should be in single digits by the time Oct puts expire. You can pay back all the money you spent on junkets!!

The days range was 2.90 - 4.55 so you could have done better if you were around watching. Of course I'm sure you were out working hard doorknocking right?

Another good option would have been to buy LEH CALLS today. Buy $4.00 oct calls but that would make it too confusing for you.

LEH may get taken out at $8 -10$ or more giving you a nice profit which would then hedge your MER puts.

Now if leh goes down at less than a dollar your MER puts go way up as they are the next target of all the shorts.

See how the logic works? Oh heck sorry your busy making calls to voters. Maybe you can read this after 9PM your time when you can't call any more.

I covered at around $7. I'm just too spooked in this market. My freinds said take the profit. I listened. Hey what the heck a profit is a profit. You can't eak out 100%.

I'm going to keep my MEr puts till it crashes though. Ride it out and hope for the best (or worst as it may be)

I missed out on WaMu but i did short Wachovia at around 18. I shorted Citi at around 16 a while back but in hindsight I realize that the smaller the bank the sooner it will crash. Citi, BofA will be last to crash.

Yeah, I bought silver at 11. Also, I figure I should cover my shorts before the dollar crashes. The dollar might not be worth anything when Citi crashes so gains from shorting Citi wont be worth as much as they would have.

I think im in @ 14 avg between highs 15 & lows of 13.

Im kicking myself in the ass for not buying some gold last year when it was around 700 oz.! hindsight 20/20!

Luckily, I didn't learn about gold/silver until prices collapsed. I have bought at 11-16. Probably have an average price around 13-14. I still think we are going to look at the current price (17.70) and laugh in about 2-3 years.

I love silver, but I think wheat has more upward potential.
Just like silver, I like taking physical possession.
