Silly question, but...

Why would a monarchist be on the Ron Paul Forums? I've never been an American citizen that actually wanted a monarchy to be in place. Is this even possible--the very opposite is pounded in our heads from kindergarten.

I think you answered your own question. Ron Paul supporters are often people who reject the ideas that have been pounded into our heads since kindergarten.

A benevolent king is as good a benevolent democracy.. in fact, the monarchy is better than democracy because when they become tyrannical there is only one tyrant to kill in a monarchy, but in a democracy, there could be millions of tyrants you'd have to kill to gain liberty.

Yeppers.

all government types have the potential of being benevolent and tyrannical. the question should be, which one is easier to remove when it becomes tyrannical. which one is easier to reset to liberty?

None of them are easy to reintroduce liberty into. It remains to be seen if that is even possible to any government.

But I would argue the monarchy is easier to get away from because it is a single point of failure. A republic is distributed, more widespread, and more deeply rooted in the culture it grew out of.

If a republic began working against liberty, it would be extremely hard to "reset" that form of government because of the increased number of people and interests involved.
