Significance of 0 votes in Sutton County (Statistical)

here's another one. it's amusing, but serious. what are the odds that giuliani gets 9.11% in THREE COUNTIES (Campton, Hampton, Sandwich). no other candidate got 9.11% once in any county.

could it really be that someone is was fooling with the numbers and either:
(1) decided to have some fun, thinking no one would notice, or be able to prove anything
OR
(2) was trying to purposely send a message since they were coerced into this and weren't totally on board

Seriously though, we have numerous individuals in this forum that know people who claim to have voted for Ron Paul in Sutton County. We need to get these people together and raise some hell, after confirming that those people, did in fact vote for Ron Paul.

But I'm just getting a feeling that the Republican neocon globalist regime won't allow Ron Paul to get elected. No media coverage of breaking news of raising more money in a single day than ANY candidate in US hostory. Constant polls that don't include his name. Ne mention of Ron Paul in most news casts. Barring Ron Paul voters from straw polls. It makes my blood boil. Not because any of this is about Ron Paul. Even Ron Paul says that and we all know its not about Ron Paul.

These corrupt power grabbers just don't want to give up their power easily. If Ron Paul gets too close they'll kill him. I know it. Int he meantime they're killing the country and destroying our Constitution, robbing us of our liberties, wiping out our dollar and ruining our soverignty.

I've had the "they won't let him win" sentiment since the beginning. Now it looks like it's coming true. We can vote all we want - THEY will make whoever they want to win, win.

OK, here's fishy thing # 1357 about the vote. Rudy DID NOT get 9.11% in three counties. He actually got 9.10 in two of them, but because the media deleted Keyes' votes the numbers are slightly inflated. Weird, huh?

Sure, Paul will still be in fifth but we need to get to the bottom of why the result is clearly wrong and make sure it doesn't happen in future states.

I agree... we also looked at the "zero vote" probabilities last night. The best way to validate your hypothesis is to locate voters in these counties and locate a counterexample (someone who voted for Paul). We need to look at Sutton County in particular.

I am a computer scientist. Additionally, Liberty Broadcast Network puts Paul ahead of Guiliani in 4th but behind Huckabee.

well that's another thing I would like you to explain to me.

For several hours the vote count went up and yet there was always about a 200 vote difference between Guiliani and Ron Paul.

So even though both guiliani and paul were having votes added, guiliani was always about 200 points (give or take 10 percent) ahead of Paul. It was like that for several hours. Then at some point this finally jumped to about a 1000 point differential between the two.

But, my question is, wouldn't you expect such a close vote to have guiliani and paul going back and forth, sometimes guiliani leading, sometimes paul?

Because if you look at the individual towns, paul beats both guiliani and huckabee in some of them.

So how did we get this regular vote in the first place over time, with guiliani always ahead?

I just contacted the Nashua Telegraph and left a message. Romney won Greenville according to the Telegraph, but AP puts him at zero votes and says McCain won. Paul got 25 votes in Greenville (4th place), but AP puts him at zero votes.

You are all morons. Voting results are not random datasets. No sampling. it is a reflection of an actual event. And you have no reason to suspect correlation (nor have you offered correlation). Statistical models in finance works, for the most part, because people base their buying and selling actions on statistical models. It's a self fulfilling prophecy in finance. Judging by who did receive votes, one would suspect that health care is VERY important to these voters. Kucinich received twice he percentage in Sutton as he did across the state. Obama, Hillary and Edwards did well (all with a health care plan), Romney (healthcare plan), McCain (stumped on re-importation of drugs). You can find someone who voted in Sutton for RP to prove fraud, but statistics offers no help in your cause here.

You're an idiot. The outcome of an election is no longer random, just like the outcome of a coin flip is no longer random. However, before the event, there is a random variable. We can make guesses about the nature of the outcome.

We know for a fact that a zero vote outcome is very unlikely and we have people who are saying their vote wasn't counted. Statistics tells us that the outcome was not a very good fit to a basic binomial model for which we were fairly confident on the bounds of parameter p.
