Hello everyone, I apologize if this is in the wrong place but I just purchased this book for a steal of a price if authentic and was just wondering if this signature appears to be authentic. Looking up Dr. Paul's signature online there appears to be a lot of variation depending on when he signed items. The seller I purchased the book from on ebay was member2857938 who had many, many good reviews but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

interesting that he put his birthdate next to his signature, is that typical for people to do? I would have thought he'd put the day's date or something

The guy selling the book said that he try's getting everyone to put their date of birth under their signature.

He signed it in 1935? I didn't think he was that old. ;)

That's his birthday, which doesn't make any sense, I've never seen anyone sign like that outside of official forms.

As for the actual signature, that is also suspect. Here is the real one:

It's a nice first edition hardcover, and it really wasn't very much. If I decide that I really don't want it I still have 7 days to return it.

I found that the date was signed in a unique way. I wonder if he usually has the slashes going in different directions.

It's fake IMO. It's written in a squiggly way like someone was trying to copy it, and even then they didn't come very close.

I have two signed books from Ron, and the P is different from the one in yours; the tail reaches forward rather than backward. It could be real though; I'm no signature expert.

Looks legit to me. When you are signing your name over and over, it can get a little variation over time....

Yeah, It's just so hard to tell. Best thing is to get it signed in person to know for sure but. But I've been itching to read it.

Any idea if the campaign for liberty books are hardback or paperback?

I agree, I have a signed copy of The Revolution and it does not look close, mine looks like the authentic one from wiki (which it should of course) except on the "P". The little squiggle that comes from the bottom of the "P" is on the right in wiki but on the left in my book and yours as well.

There is a much better attempt to make the letter "o" and "u" in the wiki signature and even more so in the one I have. They are sort of missing in your signature.
