Sign this petition to let Johnson join Paul in the CNN debate!

Gary keeps repeating he is the ONLY candidate in the race who is for individual liberty. I'm forgetting about him

I'm with you on this. I see Ron Paul supporters all over the place sticking up for Gary Johnson which don't get me wrong is really great and the right thing to do for liberty. It is also the exact kind of thing you can expect from Ron Paul supporters.

However, gerryb is right. Most of the Gary Johnson supporters don't give a crap about Ron Paul. I see comments all over the place from Johnson supporters saying that Ron Paul is not a viable candidate and that people might as well vote for Gary Johnson. Insanity.

No, thanks. Two people saying the same thing make the ideas seem less profound.

and all the articles by his supporters trash Ron and bring up 'baggage' in hushed tones, and GJ even linked those on his web page and facebook, or his supporters who control those did. His campaign is run on trashing Ron. I'm not saying he personally is doing that, but I feel really backstabbed by his supporters, who now expect Ron Paul supporters to fight for him.

Politically, it is better to have Johnson in the debates. Better for Ron Paul, I mean.

And this is basically what they were trying to do to Ron last time. So "Eh, that's someone else. WHo cares? Screw 'em?"

They aren't saying the same things, and where there is overlap it is because of different principles. It allows RP to present his ideas as rights-based/Constitutional concepts, something GJ doesn't really do. Politics is about popularity not being unique, and being completely unique does not make one more "profound." It helps to have company on positions and then differentiating.

Agreed, GJ is a good guy, but he has no chance to win the primary and his appearance does not help RP

That's what I heard about Ron Paul last time around when he was polling at what GJ is currently polling at. It doesn't hurt to have him in the debates a couple more times and then he'll drop out and probably endorse RP.

We've been through this on many threads. You don't care about Roemer or any of the others being cut out, and didn't care when Gary was in the first debate even though he didn't technically make the cut and others were left out. This is about your supporting this one person, and of course you want him in.

And Ron Paul did NOT get an interview and write up by Fox complaining about how unfair it was when he was kept out, either. Frankly, the media seems to favor GJ over Ron in that regard.

Regardless, this does not belong in Ron's forum on Ron's moneybomb day, particularly when we have already had several rounds of it here.

All the other points mentioned about who's in the debate and what not don't matter. The issue is that I'm not and I'm sure many other people here aren't going to bend over backwards to help out the guy when he is trashing Ron Paul on his facebook and some his supporters have some sort of deep seated hate toward Ron.

Today is about our man Dr. Paul.

Signed...

I don't support Gary Johnson, but it's unfair that they're excluding him. I thought we believed that all legitimate candidates should have their say?

If the Romer guy has a petition put it up and i'll sign that too. I don't really care about gary johnson, but if they can do it to him at 2% then they can do it to Ron at 10% (again). So whatever. Just a different opinion than yours.

I'd sign a petition to put the debates back with the League of Women voters and cite a LIST of egregious favoritism including this, it just isn't different to me than the others. I do agree they shouldn't be able to choose Santorum over Gary 'just because' or Guiliani over Ron. But I'm not trying to stop people from signing this petition, I just didn't want an argument about it dragging down Ron's money bomb in the Ron Paul 2012 forum yesterday, after there have already been multiple threads on this.

As a Ron Paul supporter of thirty years, I think it makes our case stronger and adds legitimacy, in 07-08, he was one of several saying something different, another one up there adds some credibility;imho so I'm signing the petition.
