I don't see how we could not accept the responsibility to accept refugees who are fleeing the consequences of our meddling.

It doesn't make any practical sense to me that Syrian refugees would be brought to the U.S. Surely there are better alternatives that would also be cheaper than shipping refugees around the world and dropping them into a culture many of them are likely unfamiliar with, or perhaps even disdainful of.

I have little doubt that some of these people would eventually try to kill Americans. There is no screening process.
