Last I heard it was the Sanders campaign that was not accepting a joint forum/townhall thing, not Paul's.

I believe he is hemmed in by "party rules" the same way Paul is. If nothing else shows the corruption of the two party system it is this. Personally I would like both to denounce their party and do it. With social media it might be big enough to create some major changes. But, it would be a hell of a gamble.

It's a good idea, but lots of risk. First, Sanders has to agree. Second, if the audience is low, it will appear Rand failed and the news media will "sour grapes" him. He might be better off writing up some impeach Ryan and McConnell bills for submission and immediate vote.

I'd love to see Rand set some new trends like this. Sidestep the MSM and set something up on social media.

Straight up ask REAL debate questions to the other candidates on Twitter! They will be forced to respond and when they do the MSM will be forced report on it without having complete control to manipulate the narrative.

Ask them if they understand the difference between welfare and charity.

Ask all of the "conservatives" if they are for small goverment or if they just want to build a bigger and better government like the dems.

Ask them what effect they think the fed has on the taxpayers.

Ask Bernie if he thinks a one day old American infant is in debt and why.

No. Not because it seems underhanded or petty, but because honestly, the network isn't going to grovel and beg this one candidate to join the ranks. The debate will go on with or without Paul on the stage.

Sure, why not? Nothing to lose at this point.

Great idea, but no media network would do it.

It's almost 2016, networks aren't needed anymore. It could be done with a solid webcam feed with a lot of bandwidth.

But wouldn't he? He seems awfully fired up and pissed off at the media and the establishment lately.


I'm not saying Rand or Bernie are going to win their respective nominations or become potus. I doubt either will, but doing an event like this moves incrementally toward breaking the control the media and establishment have over the election process.

I wonder if Netflix could somehow host it and fuck over the TV networks entirely. Netflix already has a bajillion subscribers and I'd imagine they'd garner a huge amount of new free trial subscriptions. I think this would be deliciously humiliating for network TV and roughly equivalent to extinguishing a cigarette in the eye of the establishment. Make both political parties and the media suffer while the public has something more interesting and substantive to tune into.

Hope is nice, (I was filled with it during the Ron Paul campaigns) but my cynical reality will prove to be true. I have been out of the campaign ---> viewing Rand's campaign from afar. I can tell you that NO one gives a rats ass about Rand. They do not THINK, the make their decisions on emotion. Feel good nice guys like Carson, NRA/gun types like Trump, and no one even knows who Rand is. He could handily take Trumps support by out trumping Trumps boldness. Yes, that more than likely will require fully automatic firearms.
