SHERIFFS STANDING WITH THE PEOPLE AGAINST THE FEDS

I have reported earlier that sheriffs in New Mexico are threatening to arrest federal agents if they attempt to enforce unconstitutional federal acts in contravention of state law.

The even better news is that sheriffs in other states are doing the same. Sheriff Brad Rogers of Elkhart County, Indiana has told Food and Drug Administration agents they will be arrested if they go on Amish farmer David Hochstetler’s land. Having falsely alleged that raw, unpasteurized milk sold by Hochstetler had caused several cases of food poisoning, the FDA filed a complaint in federal court to support their attack on the farmer.

This is kind of grass roots uprising that will get the federal bureaucracies to back off their never ending lust for power. People need to call their bluff.

Don't expect the Feds to back off easy. They really believe they're entitled to boss the states around, and are likely ignorant of the Sheriff's authority. If they find out about the Sheriff's authority, they likely hold it in contempt. Only if this really spreads like wildfire among Sherrifs would I expect them to really back off.

I agree, maybe in a few more years when our country is in ruins will something finally happen with the ever growing police state.

When I read these things my heart rejoices. Thank you for posting. Would it be okay for me to find the contact info for Sheriff Rogers and post it so we might send him messages of thanks and encouragement? Or would that be inappropriate? Sometimes I need to defer these decisions to those more prudent amongst us.

Here are eight county sheriffs from Northern CA and Southern OR speaking on at panel at the Defend Rural America event October 22, 2011 in Yreka. Despite the low media coverage there were about 700 people in attendance from all over California, Oregon and as far away as Wyoming. The sheriffs made it perfectly clear that they are the last line of defense for their citizens and given authority by the 10th Amendment. YOU will be a source of information beyond the lame stream media by forwarding this link!

Someone should tell him about how stupid prohibition is instead of asking for federal tyranny, I mean support. He wants the very same "support" they were mad about during the first 24 minutes. If he doesnt want it grown on public land then they should legalize it so people are free to grow it on private land. Imagine the jobs and economic gold rush that would be.

I believe that if and when those orders come, I cannot in good faith and in strict observance to my oath, allow myself to be a part of them. I would hope that members of our military in accordance to the articles of the UCMJ, would also refuse them as well.
