Shenanigans At The North Carolina Convention

Greg Dority supporting Williams is his 3rd strike with me. Strike #1 was carbetbagging into the 12th district race, strike #2 was running a name recognition campaign for state auditor, without being serious about winning and serving. Definately cross that guy off from any race that he joins in the future.

The intrigue between Tillis and Williams apparently pissed off the Beaufort county GOP enough that they did not even attend the state convention.

Here is some more discussion about the flyers

This stuff has been stewing for a while. Note this article from February
http://www.beaufortobserver.net/Art...-The-politics-of-local-legislative-races.html

The county GOP passed the following resolution then:

"The Beaufort County Executive Committee views with grave concern the involvement of the North Carolina GOP Senate Caucus in the candidate recruitment and selection process prior to the Primary election without the appropriate consultation with the local GOP leadership.

And we further advise the Senate Caucus and State GOP Executive Committee that we do not intend to work for any candidates so selected without the appropriate involvement of the local GOP leadership."

About the flyer thing, I recently recent a blog on it too. I, myself, never knew about the plan of distributing the flyer. Who else knew here? Was Jessica just doing a personal thing here? Why didn't Jessica inform any of the RPers there then? Why not call out for help? If I was around, I certainly would not have stood and watched a lady being gang-harassed, RP supporter or not.

One thing the "veterans" told us even in 2008 - when you step into the convention, there are many old ghosts of previous party battles carried into the ballroom as well. That's why when "Paul" people offer up on an amendment, some of the back benchers vote too. They may be doing it, simply because they do not like some particular individual who is arguing against the amendment ...
EXPLOIT THIS

;-) The flyer was written grammatically correctly and worded exactly as the author planned it (including the 1st line). Can you think why?

Additionally, questions are not accusatory statements. Even if the the flyer contained accusatory utterances the burden of proof for defamation lies with the
complainant, must pass tests which are nye to impossible to prove. This flyer would not fail anyone of those tests. Any lawyer who asserts that this flyer was defaming needs to return to law school or is trying to take your money.

The purpose of the flyer was to prompt folks to think and and decide for themselves. As someone previously mentioned: "For Informational and Educational Purposes Only."

This flyer was produced by a single individual and volunteers offered to distribute it. My questions would be was Jessica, by law, defamed, harrassed, assaulted?
