Former Nevada Senate hopeful and tea party favorite Sharron Angle is endorsing Rick Santorum, according to reports from NRO's Robert Costa and Fox News's Greta Van Susteren.

"Rick Santorum and I have known each other for years," Angle told Van Susteren in a statement she read on "On The Record. "He is a strong fiscal and social conservative," she said, who puts "principles above politics."

She added he is a "perfect fit ... (for the) tea party movement."Angle was trounced by Harry Reid in last year's race, after he painted her as extreme and essentially played in her party's primary to the level that the hardest-right canddiate emerged.

But the vote in Nevada this Saturday is a caucus, not a primary, and Angle, despite the level of mockery she got in her race from the national press, presumably still has at least some tea party juice in the state. Whether it translates into anything is a question.

Mitt Romney remains the odds-on favorite to win Nevada, a state he captured four years ago and one where he's been organizing for years, quite handily. But Angle's endorsement is a shot in the arm for Santorum, as he tries to galvanize conservatives and tea party hopefuls and argues he's the acceptable alternative over Newt Gingrich.

I hope we beat him in every single of these caucus states and force him to drop out already

There's a reason why Angle lost her Senate race and Rand Paul won his, and it has less to do with ideological consistency and more to do with basic intelligence. I was prepared to send Angle some money during her race in order to unseat Harry Reid, but after hearing one of her disastrously stupid speeches, I saved my money for some good books.

Santorum would be a perfect fit for the tea party huh? That's news to Santorum, because he has "serious concerns" about that movement and he will "oppose" that movement.

Never liked Angle, just another sellout.

The tea party is an empty shell now, I wish it would just go away.

She just lost that support. Dumb bitch.

I remember how much we helped her in her campaign. We even had a sub forum set up for her. Just goes to show, similar to Sarah Palin, these RINO's will hide behind any cloak in order to deceive.

Sharron Angle speaks at a campaign rally
Oct. 29, 2010, at the Orleans.

Sharron Angle has endorsed Rick Santorum in the Republican race to pick a presidential nominee, according to conservative publication the National Review.
“Rick Santorum and I have known each other for years. He is a strong fiscal and social conservative who stands on principles above politics,” Angle said in a statement released to the National Review on Wednesday. “He has never wavered in his support for family values, understanding the impact that strong families have on a prosperous economy. His continuous opposition to amnesty, Obamacare, the bailouts, and cap and trade are a perfect fit with our main street Tea Party movement.”
Angle rose to national prominence in 2010, when she emerged as the Republican challenger against Sen. Harry Reid, Nevada’s longtime Democratic senator who currently serves as majority leader.
With strong backing of the Tea Party, she staged an upset victory in the Republican primary and went on to come within 5 points of Reid — enough to scare him, but not enough to wrest his Senate seat away.
Since that contest, Angle has re-emerged onto the political scene intermittently, even announcing a bid for Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District seat — but eventually dropped out, complaining that the candidate-selection process rendered the election “illegitimate.”
Angle’s two closest supporters, Jeri Taylor-Swade and Laurel Fee, hosted Santorum Tuesday afternoon for an opening rally behind the offices of T.R.U.N.C. — Tea Party Republicans Uniting Nevada Conservatives — an organization they started early last year. Taylor-Swade and Fee recently accompanies Angle on a driving tour of the United States they called “TEAm Hobbit Express” — a reference to a comment made by Sen. John McCain about Tea Partyers last summer.
Taylor-Swade told the Sun the event was not an endorsement of Santorum per se, and that they hoped to sponsor more candidates, but none had yet taken them up on the invitation, due a combination of scheduling conflicts and an apparent lack of interest.
Santorum told the Sun Tuesday night that he hadn’t yet spoken to Angle, but would be happy for her endorsement.
Santorum is currently polling in last place.

Everyone of these phony Tea Party people we need to destroy. Seriously we need to take names of all these Mama Grizzlies, Teocons, hacks for the establishment etc and start putting real Liberty Candidates against them. Each time one of these people vote against the American people we'll vote them OUT! Get their number and start working on kicking them out of office come election time. Turn the grassroots into a fiery inferno! Flood talk radio against the hosts that promote these fakes! Go to their rallies and call them out on their flip-flops and bullshit and spread the message of liberty! Fight the GOP within at the local level and work our way up. Our movement will not be co-opted!

RPF seriously put up a subforum for Sharon Angle?

Wow. That's... yeah.
