Serious talk of ending the Federal Reserve!!! (2024)

Rand just isnt Ron.

They have been bringing in Ron Paul tho for advice, so almost seems like he is as active as he can be again!

The Fed are the firefighters... and the arsonists.

The Fed's existence is inherently unconstitutional. It is accountable to no branch of government, making it a fourth branch of government which is something that could only lawfully be created by a constitutional amendment.

The Fed's sole purpose, and their sole activity, is to print money. Yes, they do it in a very complicated way and they perform all sorts of rituals with religious gravitas while they're printing up pallets of cash but, at the end of the day, they're just printing money. No different than when the Continential Congress was printing up worthless paper slips ("not worth a Continental"). This experiment of fiat paper money has been tried a million different ways and, just like communism, its failure-rate is 100%.

On the topic of communism, the net effect of the Fed is to institute de facto Marxism into the economy. Think of each dollar you spend as a tiny little "vote". Those votes don't just go to election campaigns, they go to things like french fries, corn flakes, tennis shoes and brake pads. When the government taxes your money and spends it, it is substituting the "wisdom" of Congress for how those votes should be cast in the economy, instead of the things you would have "voted" for (by purchasing them). The market, in turn, responds by producing the things that people "vote" for. If Congress taxes you $15,000, that is 15,000 $1 votes taken out of your hands and put into the hands of the 535 members of Congress, to be cast how they see fit. When a government becomes too tax-hungry, people feel the pinch and they get angry, and they "throw the bums out". But inflation is not like that, it's gradual, diffuse and the Fed has become expert at deflecting away responsibility for inflation, even though it is the only substantial cause of inflation. When the Fed inflates, it takes that voting power out of your hands and my hands, and puts it into the hands of the welfare-warfare-State, and lines its own pockets along the way. Unlike with ordinary taxation, there is no counter-balancing force of public outrage, nor is there any way to "throw the bums out" because the Fed is "independent", i.e. effectively a 4th branch of government and completely unaccountable to the American public.

Inflation corrupts accounting. You couldn't build a house with a rubber measuring-tape. But that's what inflation does to accounting, it makes all forms of contracts and monetary tracking into a gigantic, funhouse hall-of-mirrors. Nothing is what it seems.

Inflation corrupts morals. Inflation just is theft and nothing else besides. It has no sound constitutional or lawful basis. It is just a gang of thugs picking your pocket, and you don't even have a vote on the matter. The Fed is literally "taxation without representation". And since money is half of every transaction, when you corrupt the money, you corrupt everything.

No matter how much you hate the Fed, you do not hate it enough...
