Senior citizens are just as important as any other group, Ron Paul needs their support, and the entire country needs him in office.

Senior voters in most states (all?) qualify for use of absentee ballots. A serious effort must be made to indentify senior Paul supporters, help them request absent ballots (bring them the form for them to sign) and send them in.

And we need to do something other than online campaigning to get these people. My grandparents don't own a computer and they are not going to be watching youtube videos.

Yes

Seniors are very important. There are organizations that do keep them in touch with the latest news. I am sure there are a few seniors here on the forums. ( I am almost there) that can go the sites and organizations and get the word out.

Seniors do tend to get their news from TV and that is gonna be hard to get the word out.

AARP is a big organization. A lot of seniors get mailers from them. I wonder if AARP can publicize a candidate or would they? Specially one that stands for freedom!

Yeah, it will be tough to get the NRA endorsement though. I am a member, but I do think the NRA does not always endorse the right people. They also compromise far too often.

That being said, I think Ron should try to get on the Cam & Company radio show, that would be a great way to reach out to NRA members. The same goes for Live Fire with Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America, or Guntalk with Tom Gresham.

If Ron Paul gains decent steam, the AARP is going to come out strongly against him for his views against Medicare and Social Security, and there will be no way to reason with them. We can continue to push the message to seniors, but don't bother with the AARP.

A good way to see what seniors (or any other demographic) is watching is check the ads being run.

For instance the demo for network evening news has a lot of senior viewers. I also think a lot of retired folks keep the cable news running full time in the background so any exposure there could get their attention.

I think the 2nd amendment folks are still a good bet. Although some might have a problem with pulling out of Iraq.

Yeah, I think advertising during gameshows would also be big with them. Lots of retired people like to watch Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy. Of course it takes a lot of money to buy tv ads.

It depends. Over on the gunsnet forums, we have quite a few Ron Paul supporters. The rest seem to favor Fred Thompson.

AARP doesn't permit any political advertising.

Even if they did, we would have had to secure the ad space a few weeks ago. They have like a 3 month close rate or something crazy. You can't just put an ad in last minute.
