RON PAUL CAMPAIGN SEES ANOTHER DAY OF RECORD DONATIONS

Local and national supporters engage in grassroots fundraising.

Washington, D.C. - (December 17, 2007) - On the 234th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, supporters of Congressman Ron Paul’s campaign for president have raised over $6 million in a single day. The fundraiser was started as a grassroots effort independent of the Ron Paul 2008 Campaign, and organized through the website http://www.teaparty07.com/. As December 16 drew to a close, the campaign’s website reported a total of over $17.9 million for the fourth quarter. Early in the day, Ron Paul supporters beat the campaign’s goal of $12 million for the quarter two weeks early. In bringing in $6 million, the Ron Paul campaign beat it’s own singleday online fundraising record of $4.3 million set on November 5th, 2007, which was the previous record for most single-day donations made online. Through both online and offline donations the campaign also broke the all-time single day primary fundraising record of $5.7 million, set by Sen. John Kerry in 2004. The day also saw donations from approximately 25,000 first-time donors to the Ron Paul campaign, and over 57,000 donors total.

Needs to say Kerry's all time record which was raised after he got the nomination in the general election. Then needs to say Ron Paul beat the record before the primaries even started, and that Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate that can win this election.

Feel free to modify it however you want before you send it out.

And wasn't that pledges for Kerry, not actual donations?
