Senator Schumer's list of demands to end government shutdown

DACA is only controversial with the White House. The vast majority of Americans favor it. Even Republicans.

Since progressives have no problem deporting children back to South American and Caribbean shitholes at machine gun point, well, fight fire with fire then.

Piss off back to wherever you came from.

That is what anti-immigrants would like to see more of- a bigger police state. Ron Paul warned about that.

No one here is against immigrants or is anti-immigrant. It is illegal immigration we are against. Just like Ron Paul.

Try and catch up.

Oh, I am.

Shut it all down.

We got major problems we need to address and get control of, without having to keep a lid on a whole slew of Balkanized factions at each other's throats at the same time.

Chain migration is anti-family values. Keeping families apart.

There is little objection for the "families" of DACA children to come here as everyone else comes. Get on the end of the line and make an application. But this is not what Schumer wants. He wants them to be given legal resident status immediately, and without getting on the end of the line. Do you know how many millions of people this involves?

Yes, about 700,000.

Although roughly 800,000 unauthorized immigrants have ever received benefits through DACA, about 110,000 of this group are no longer enrolled in the program. About 70,000 former DACA participants did not renew their benefits or had their renewal applications denied. Another 40,000 have adjusted their legal status and obtained green cards, which grant lawful permanent residence. (Some unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. can obtain legal status by marrying an American citizen or lawful permanent resident, obtaining asylum, or receiving certain types of visas such as those given to victims of a crime, among other ways.)

To qualify for DACA, enrollees must meet certain conditions, such as being enrolled in high school or having a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and not being convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, or three or more other misdemeanors.

Chain migration is anti-family values. Keeping families apart. Families who stay together tend to assimilate better and are less likely to rely on public services since they can support each other- emotionally as well as financially.

If people choose to come here then leaving their extended family is their problem, the interests of Americans come first.

Then why is chain migration being discussed?

Because we are discussing the chain migration of the relatives of ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Chain migration of the relatives of legal immigrants is a different issue for a different thread.

Exactly! But the open border crowd continues to misdirect, lie, Obfuscate and make crap up, just like Zippy does!
