Confusing as hell, to be honest. From the paragraph explaining the vote tally: "Votes in orange advanced the patriot act. Votes in purple opposed or sought to reform it."

So Rand Paul has four "NO" votes and two are orange and two are purple. So he was against everything but he was equally for it as he was against it, according to that overly-simplistic-to-the-point-of-being-confusing chart. *head explodes*
