This sux man.
There is not going to be much you can do here, unless you can prove who stole it and take them to court, and you will not likely be able to find them.
Everyone reading this should take note:
1 Always use complex and unique, password/username for every site.
2 Always use 2 factor authentication when possible, practice with it while your account is empty, and get comfortable with it.
3 Do not let funds sit in a 3rd party wallet for no reason, when you are done return funds to your own wallet.
4 If you don't have the wallet dat file, its not your wallet.
My first question was tracing the transaction ID, because that would lead to a location of the wallet .... the exchange for it; than an account identification. This happened on January 5th, which sux because that btc has been shifted probably numerous times.. but if the hack is caught quickly; I would think it could be reversed.
I have all withdrawals verified through my e mail address... And my e mail log in requires an authentication where I receive a text message from google with a unique number, and I must have that to log into e mail. So hackers would have to have all my crypto info. and my cell phone in their hands to withdraw anything.
No, there is no reversing a BTC transaction, and I think it would be near impossible to even follow the cash to an exchange let alone.
One of the things about BTC is the payments cannot be stopped by any government or other central authority, and addresses are very hard to link to an individual. It is the whole with liberty comes responsibility thing. It is a very free currency, but if you are holding anything significant, you really need to make sure your security is on the up & up.
