Yesterday we learned Congress has no power with upholding of Obamacare. Today we learned the congress' of the states have no power either.

Waiting on the order. Will post it when it comes online.

Wizardwatson, nay, David Neal Watson Junior, officially declares the American experiment has officially flatlined.

We're overrun folks. The siege is complete. The walls have been breached.

How fitting this took place on the 9th of Tammuz on the Hebrew Calendar. The day the walls of Jerusalem were breached by the Babylonian armies of Nebuchadrezzar which led to the destruction of the first temple.

And our great King of Babylon, Obama, on this very day after two days ago at a gay pride event at the white house telling a transgender heckler, who was yelling at Obama for keeping immigrant LGBT's locked up in ICE facilities, "Shame on you, you're in my house!" is now going on this very day to stand at a Christian pulpit eulogizing a Christian and blaspheme the Lord standing in GODS HOUSE after stating in his campaign speeches that he was against gay marriage and then doing everything in his power to make it happen.

If what's happening right now isn't the Batsignal for the apocalypse, I don't know what is, people.

EDIT: Here's the opinion, written by of course Kennedy. Decision was 5-4.

The 2 questions were:

1. Does a state have to recognize marriage between same gender.

2. Does another state have to recognize same-sex marriage of neighboring state.

2 would have only be relevant if answer to 1 was no. Answer to both is yes according to SCOTUS.

I have religious issues with this as well, but here is the pertinent point for those at RPF.

The Chief Justice has the principal dissent, which is 31 pages long. Toward the end of it, he says, "If you are among the many Americans--of whatever sexual orientation--who favor expanding same-sex marriage, by all means celebrate today's decision. Celebrate the achievement of a desired goal. Celebrate the opportunity for a new expression of commitment to a partner. Celebrate the availability of new benefits. But do not Celebrate the Constitution. It had nothing to do with it."

Indeed, mourn the Constitution, folks. It's dead as fucking dead.

There's a least 1 lesbian on that court I believe. The Supreme court acts like dictators now.

Yesterday and today were the final two nails in the coffin for the rule of law. With the Supreme Court losing all credibility and add in some economic collapse then this country heading towards breaking up.

This all maybe closer than we thought considering the timing of the debate just prior to these decisions was over session, the battle flag and the civil war. It all makes sense that they are setting the narrative in the minds of the average Joe that session is racist now since we are currently at high risk for this possibility.

Another reason the federal government should have been forced out of the marriage business long ago.

That being said..I really don't care who marries who. I just dislike the government having the power to decide such a personal matter.

Fixed it for you shithead Chief Justice.

On the scale of things the Court has done wrong recently, this one ranks pretty low to me.

Marriage shouldn't even be an issue for any government: Federal, State, or local.

The fact that you think it shouldn't and I think it should, is precisely why state's rights exist.

But whatever. American experiment failed.

This was going to happen.. but there might be some blowback from this ruling

This is going to get interesting here in the Bible belt.......

You know, I really don't care what to dudes/duddets do in their bedroom. What I am troubled by is now that gays assuming have class status...does this mean that churches will be forced to marry them? I don't think a church should or should not be forced to do anything especially when it goes against their beliefs.
