Finally...

Supreme Court rejects affirmative action at colleges as unconstitutional

https://www.cnbc.com/2023/06/29/supreme-court-rejects-affirmative-action-at-colleges-says-schools-cant-consider-race-in-admission.html

KEY POINTS
The Supreme Court ruled that the affirmative action admission policies of Harvard and the University of North Carolina, which gave weight to a would-be student’s race, are unconstitutional.

The ruling is a massive blow to decades-old efforts to boost enrollment of racial minorities at American universities.

The court’s majority opinion said that both Harvard’s and UNC’s affirmative action programs “unavoidably employ race in a negative manner, involve racial stereotyping, and lack meaningful end points.”

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, in a sharp dissent to the opinion, said, “Today, this Court stands in the way and rolls back decades of precedent and momentous progress.”

The Marxists are losing their minds over this. For their con to work, they must have victims. And once they create victims, the victims need solutions, which coincidently come from the Marxists. The don't want equality, want to virtue signal about supposedly creating equity, while in reality they are robbing America for the benefit of their billionaire masters.

And they are racists, because one key assumption to their position is that some groups of people (and all members of those groups) are inferior, and they can only succeed with help from the Marxists. No one is an individual, just a member of some victim group (as defined by the ruling Soviet).

Another key assumption is that education is a limited resource that must be rationed. Why is that? Why is there not more options for education? Is it because the government doesn't like competition? Take away barriers to education, and the competitive market will adjust to the demand.

For the same reason they always torpedo food production first. And you already said why. Hungry people are victims, and victims need solutions that the Marxists want to provide. What greater power is there over people than to be the arbiter of who eats and who doesn't? Problem->reaction->the solution is always to give the government more power.

Even if the Supreme Court rules against using race in college admissions, some schools plan to ignore it.

Good idea, I concur, there are a great many SCROTUS rulings I now plan to ignore.

Will they actually discontinue the practice? No.

Aren't Asians also discriminated against because their scores are too high?

She tried to "clarify" her remarks and is being absolutely roasted in the replies.

First: "No Black person will be able to succeed in a merit-based system which is exactly why affirmative-action based programs were needed."

Then: "I want to emphasize that my statement in no way suggests that Black individuals are less intelligent than people of other races."

:tears:
