Of course Zimbabwe exists...but do you want to live there? If you really think the US will suffer hyperinglation...get the f"ck out.

Because I am too heavily invested to leave. In addition, I wouldn't know where to go. It's easier to defend my little plot (which has manufacturing capabilities in-house) than to flee to China to try to start over, especially when white people may well not be welcome there after the US economy collapses.

I wouldn't mind living in Zimbabwe, if I had the same setup as I do here (assuming I was black). I would likely be very wealthy, and well situated for when Mugabe's regime collapses.

Wouldn't it make sense to hedge your bets by buying some gold and silver, and stocking up on essentials? Maybe start a hobby that can make you some money in a barter situation? I make (rather delicious) wine myself.
