Schiff vs. Union Guy from Progressive Progressing Progressive Progress Thing (11/20)

They should've listened to Congressman Paul last year.

so funny is a democrat said these things, people would call him a socialist and say he hates the rich, so why do ron paul get away with saying these things, obama has been saying this for damn near 2 years and he gets attacked on every financial show for it

It drives me nuts when these idiots talk over him w/out even listening.

What you said was disrespectful to all women not just the one you are talking about. Try spending your life with men talking down to you, calling you hun, doll, sweetie when they don't even know you. It's degrading and disrespectful and kinda threatening. It's not ok to treat women as nothing more than sexual objects to be dominated, unless of course that is a consensual agreement.

In reply to your question about ripping a man's balls off, I wouldn't say that and I honestly don't think I've ever heard anyone say it, BUT there isn't any implied threat because a man knows he can defend himself against most women and the reverse is not true.

I wouldn't defend talking heads here. These people, male or female, are dangerously being close to being traitors. Not because we "disagree" with them. Its because Americans need to hear the truth of what is really happening to their country by folks life Peter Schiff and they are being verbally assaulted for goddamned ratings because they are trying to inject some sanity into what is happening: Theft of our prosperity, peace, and form of government!

Lay off the goddamned sexism shit. This has little to do with sexism and has everything to do with relevant topics such as ridiculous debt levels that will make American debt slaves.

SLAVERY.

Schiff has been very good at calling the results of the massive growth in public debt, but I've never heard him harp too much on the private external debt, just as large and the other half of the USA's insolvency problem.

Today he (Schiff) succinctly makes the point that we were immensely foolhardy to surrender away our manufacturing economy for the mirage of a service economy, I'll give him more credit for that (right at 4:27 or so):

Theoretically speaking, how do we reach a bottom here? Auto industry goes down, people lose more jobs, less consumption, less market growth, more downsizing, more lost jobs, ... where's the rebound?

Depends on how much of our manufacturing base we let go to rust and/or pack up and ship to China. One thing is certain--the fall stops at the Breadbasket of the World. People have to eat.

The rebound comes from the ingenuity and hard work of the people who are supplying all the ingenuity and hard work now--the people. The only difference is that they will enjoy the fruits of it, rather than giving 90% of it to a bunch of brats and sons of brats (going right up to the White House).

If they play their little game wrong and we play it right, we hit the big reset button. The rich get poor and the poor get opportunity like they thought became impossible during the twentieth century. There will be hard times in between, but at this point I don't know how any ingenious, hard working person could ever ask for a better scenario.

People cant afford 20k cars right now! that is the main reason the auto industry is going bankrupt not because they don't produce GREEN environmental friendly hybrids.

The market is flooded with cars and nobody wants them. Even foreign autos who stayed ahead are having tough times.

Bailing out another company isnt going to solve anything. Those jobs are already lost because of the massive slow down
