Name one state that abolished itself. Or even effectively shrank itself.

Iran is in the process of doing it right now.

The Soviet Union did it.

The British Empire did it, and the United States was formed as a result. The colonies weren't conquered by an outside force. They were reformed by their inhabitants. (albiet through force)

Iran...a phony CIA engineered coup

Soviet Union.....communists replaced by democratic socialists...better than it was before, but hardly an overthrow of the state

Colonies....American Revolution...like all revolutions...was funded and organized by the elite 2nd layer just below the royalty...

NEVER have the masses of people overthrown the state unless a wealthy 2nd tier elite planned it.
