SC: Cop shoots 70 year old man reaching for walking cane. (video)

I'm sure if I shot someone because I saw them reaching for what I thought was a rifle and it turned out to be a walking cane, I'd be fine.

Oh no, wait, people would be coming for my head.

Fucked up country.

Clearly 70-year-old motorist did this to himself.

Well yeah, he had an expired license plate tag!

I'm just glad the officer made it home safely. I'm sure this ordeal has been very stressful for him. Heroes like Deputy Terrence Knox protect us every day from getting shot by others, so we need to be grateful.

The SPLC and DHS has all these cops on edge with their propaganda. If you're a vet, expect more of the same.

Peasants are only permitted props for old age when the lords of the realm and their ever-generous knights deem it appropriate.

Yo, Greatest Generation. Skip the cane--it doesn't help you prostrate yourself before Teh Authoritah. What's a broken hip compared to the Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness you fought for at Iwo Jima?

Let that be a lesson to you. Winning World War II don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing. Shoulda fought for your posterity on the home front at the ballot box too...

I fail to see how his cane was supposed to be a gun. So if someone is getting crutches in the same way they should also get shot, right?

Anyone heard the recommendation from the police to make a law for Mandatory Manual on what mundanes need to do when stopped by police?

What I take away from this is that older folks like the driver just don't understand how the police have changed since the last time he probably encountered a cop during a traffic stop. Officer Friendly doesn't come out to talk to you about your violation, write you a cite, then shake your hand and bid you a safe night. He's a 24 year old that just got back from Afghanistan and has been told that his safety is paramount over everyone else's, trained on No Hesitation targets and told to shoot first and ask questions later.

You're to genuflect in passing but if one of your betters actually addresses you you're expected to drop to your knees, press your lips to the ground at their feet and murmur your supplication passively...;)

Cop shoot civilian w/ a walking cane and this is the solution to this problem...

Bryant says he's going to use this incident to push lawmakers to create a mandatory manual of what people are supposed to do when pulled over by police.

F*ck me running.

Quite simply the threat level has risen to the point that it's a wash if a citizen is better off to shoot first and ask questions later or subject themselves to interrogation.....
