Say No to a Body Scan and Face 'Intimate' Search

I was in the airport this week. After TSA checked my boarding pass and ID he suggested I go down to lane 3 since the line was shorter. Upon seeing exactly why line 3 was shorter I got out of it and went to line 2. Had I been a terrorist and assuming the full body scanners are better at detecting my threat it seems very silly to be able to choose to go to a line that still had metal detectors. But then again TSA is not very smart, and really is only interested in invading my privacy.

I have yet to face an "intimate" search recently or to see one of these scanners in person. I have been thanking officials, though, for not having the things around. "Whatever the reason that you don't have them yet, thank you for making my experience at your airport less invasive and more streamlined. I don't live near this airport and have multiple choices of which one to use. I will keep using this one as long as it remains so pleasant."

It probably won't do a darned thing. It does make me feel better, though, to voice my opinion. I travel super light and wind up on the plane without a hitch. I don't think I'd be able to go any faster were the planes private :p

I found this article on another site and it got me thinking…

The real JFK opposed a secret society as having no place among a free people. Why should the gov't get to see our "privy parts" in their secret viewing while we see nothing of them?

Accordingly I propose a new law "Any State that has an airport utilizing the porno-scanners must have every elected official and state goons (including contractors) pass through one and the images posted on the internet and in the airport aisles for public viewing." It is the old "I will show you mine if you show me yours." Let's see if we can get every State to have a movement to pass such laws. We may have the wind at our backs on this one. And with all the focus LRC has had in making this issue prominent I think it would be perfect for the impetus for such State laws to originate on your page.

What think ye? If you like the idea spread it.

Sincerely,

Just got back from Texas. They hit me coming and going. The NEW and IMPROVED body search.

I have an artificial hip and knee that always sets off the alarms. No full body scan going or coming. No more wand. The new touchy feel body search.

Going, I forgot to take off the my belt. They re ran that through while they used the back of their hands to rub me down. Just a light hit on the side of my private parts then they rub all over your clothes and take and test the gloves for explosives or drugs. Not sure which.

Coming back, like an idiot, I take off the belt but forget my wallet. I had to take all the money out of the wallet and let them re run the wallet. This time a more touchy feel rub down or plastic explosive check. Bottom line, I will not be one bit surprised that they get sued for too touchy feeling before long.

How come they can't pick up bombs being flown here from Yeman?

Can TSA even make anyone empty their pockets? I thought that was deemed excessive.

"As of Monday afternoon, the agency had not responded to several requests for comment on this. Last week, the agency did tell me that there were 317 of the advanced imaging technology machines now in use at 65 airports around the country.

About 500 should be online by the end of the year, the agency said, and another 500 are expected to be installed next year. Ultimately, the agency plans to have the new machines replace metal detectors at all of the roughly 2,000 airport checkpoints."

So, we can opt out now, but for how long???

What happens if this creeps into railways (didn't Soros buy up a bunch a while back?), border patrol checkpoints (in country...miles from the border), or shopping centers? How much radiation could a person take if it was used daily...perhaps multiple times a day?

Ever notice how the RFID implantable microchips can be seen on xray? A regular RFID scanner used in entrances of stores now may not catch if someone was holding a chip per se vice had it implanted in them....I'm guessing an AIT machine would. Just a thought....

My trip in December to visit family might just be the last time I fly, at least until this shit goes away. If it ever does.

At least SNA doesn't have the body scanners. Not yet, anyway.

The government is only concerned with control. Security is a by-product. The 'Intimate' Search
is a joke. For real security, everyone involved in the so-called pat down would have to have a cavity search. When the absurdity of the TSA procedures is realized by the traveling public cavity searches will become a real possibility. Bend over!

How would that be secure against people who have bombs implanted inside of themselves for later detonation?

Breast implant bombs have been a possibility for ages, as have... hollow versions of other pieces of anatomy. :p

Dammit, don't give 'em any ideas!

Seriously, though, I've been wondering for some time now if that isn't where things will be in another few years. And I'll bet right now that even a friggin' cavity search will be greeted by a substantial number of people as being acceptable "because we all need to be kept safe!"

Next time you fly and they demand to grope you start screaming rape as loudly as you can. Or if they try to get your son or daughter to go through the naked scanner, call LEO and tell them you have just caught a pedo in the process of trying to take nude pictures of children.

Or just drive.
