Greetings!

This is my first post in these forums, though I've lurked (on and off) for some time. It was on a visit here yesterday that I learned of the money bomb (good timing, eh?) and donated to Rand's campaign shortly thereafter.

That being said, I'd like to get in contact with the campaign/exploratory committee. I've already registered at Rand's website to volunteer. However, I'm anxious. Aside from supporting and voting for the elder Dr. Paul not long ago, this is the first local (to KY) campaign to which I'd like to belong and assist.

In my mind, the cause of Liberty is just, and I want to begin working for that cause sooner rather than later. I'll begin searching for graphics and such to raise Rand's name awareness in my local area. But I also want to begin coordinating activities with other supporters, locally (the Cincy/Northern KY area).

If anyone can provide suggestions, or some form of contact, please get a hold of me. (Yes, I joined the meetup as well.)

Thanks!!!!!

Welcome hockeydad, glad to see your excitement and willingness to help the cause.

Hi noobster! Welcome to the forum.

I don't have contact info, but I'm sure that someone who does will show up soonish. I'm well-equipped to help you out with all things hockey though!

Welcome to the forums.

PM me your info, and facebook if you have it. I'll get you in contact with someone from the campaign.

hockeydad, you were a great find! Thank you! You could be a real asset in Kentucky - I hope there are more of your kind! I bet the best bet would to be find the local Ron Paul or CFL meetup, there you'll find the local Rand Paul bulls.

Welcome hockeydad, and thanks for your contribution yesterday! Where do you live in Kentucky?

edit: Nevermind, I'm an idiot. You already said near Cincinnati. One thing I would definitely suggest attending if you can would be the tea party in Louisville on the 5th of September (I'm sure there will be plenty of other people from your area headed down to see Rand speak). I've heard expectations of up to 10,000 people, so that is going to be a big event, and we need all the help we can get.

The n00b is no rube! Welcome, and thank you.

You might try sending a personal message to steined. If he doesn't get back to you very soon, try Matt Collins. He's in Tennessee, but has helped the Rand team some and has contacts. Or paw through the threads in this subforum and find another member of the campaign; they're often easy to spot.

If we start early enough, maybe we can water the Tree of Liberty with our sweat, rather than our blood. Worth a try, no? Glad to have you here.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome. It is heartening, to say the least.

To answer a couple of questions:

Northern Kentucky - Boone County
Hockey - Detroit Red Wings (hometown team)

About the Tea Party in Louisville - Thanks for the invite and thanks for holding it on a Saturday! Time off work can be difficult to obtain, so weekend gatherings can make scheduling so much easier.

Thanks again everyone! A very warm welcome, indeed!

There is a fundraiser dinner in Northern KY on Sept. 26th.

Welcome.

Great to hear this kind of enthusiasm from someone in KY. It is people like you who can do much more for Rand's campaign than anybody who donated to the money bomb yesterday. You can make a serious difference in this race with your efforts on the ground.

I wish you good luck, and I hope you keep us updated with your activities. If you need support, let us know.
