Sarah Palin on Chris Christie: ‘Certainly you know what your top aides are up to'

There's no love lost between ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and embattled New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Palin weighed in on Christie's Bridgegate scandal, saying she doesn't buy his defense that he was ignorant of the nefarious ways of his aides.
"When I was mayor and manager of this city, and then governor of the state, certainly you know what your top aides are up to," she told Inside Edition on Tuesday, having previously called his traffic snarl "a pretty atrocious act.”
Her opinion on the matter is interesting considering she pleaded ignorance during Troopergate, a scandal from when she was governor of the last frontier.

Palin caught heat for firing Alaska Commissioner of Public Safety Walt Monegan in July 2008, allegedly because he refused to fire State Trooper Mike Wooten.
Palin, her family and aides reportedly had pressured Monegan, a member of Palin’s Cabinet, to get rid of Wooten, who was divorced from Palin's sister Molly McCann.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie insists he didn't know about his aides’ action before Bridgegate became a scandal.

In Christie’s case, he has insisted that he had no knowledge of his advisers' plans to shut down lanes on the George Washington Bridge in September as political payback to a Democratic mayor who wouldn't endorse Christie's re-election bid.
Palin was asked about the larger-than-life Christie as she celebrated her 50th birthday on Tuesday.

Heh. I love the Palin effect. You can amost hear the "whoomp!" when she puts her foot down.

John McCain did the country a favor when he put her in the spotlight. Now she's more relevant than he is!

Palin's a hypocritical POS.

Maybe she needs to explain the corruption of her Governorship of Alaska before she questions Christie. Two peas in a pod.

There's a reason Palin can tell corruption when she sees it...

It helps to be a practitioner.
