SARAH Palin is Defending Ron Paul HARD On Fox Right NOw [Mixed Bag]

What ever her motive, she didn't say "Ron Paul doesnt care if Israel gets blown off the map," or "Ron Paul's views are totally outside the the mainstream of virtually every decent America," or "Ron Paul is dangerous." I would say it's in the least netural, at the most might get someone to look more into his views. She is not disrespectful to him which says a lot considering what has been thrown around in the past week.
+1 Nearly every other big name republican has go out of their way at this point of the game to viciously attack RP, she DID not.

"Newt Gingrich is hinting he might make her his V.P."

I think the news director is thinking VP stands for Vice President, but that Newt has something else on his mind.

I am not nearly as enthused for a Palin endorsement as I was before

At this point, I really don't care if Palin endorses Paul or not.

In prior posts, I had stuck up for and even really really wanted Sarah Palin to endorse Ron Paul. Over time however, Palin's highly enigmatic demeanor and ambiguous ways of casting Ron Paul in a positive light combined with her continued delay in even giving an endorsement is getting annoying.

Put in simpler terms, Palin is way too wishy-washy for her endorsement to really make a difference now, and with Paul being pumped up in the spotlight this late in the game and his shot at winning Iowa and become THE frontrunner almost imminent, she's sounding more and more like a Ron Paul groupie and her endorsement IMO has lost considerable value because she waited so long.

If she wanted her endorsement to have any real pull, she should've done it immediately or soon after her announcement not to run for the presidency. Now I know all her reasons for not endorsing anyone as of yet (basically she's hedging her bets), but sometimes for your endorsement to have real value, you need to endorse someone because you sincerely believe in them, not because they're the "in" thing.

So while I welcome her endorsement should she give it, but I'm not going to be nearly as excited or surprised as I would've been had she done it back in the fall.

Go Sarah. *sticks index finger inside my mouth, makes a popping sound, then makes a "whoopty-doo" circling gesture with that same finger*

Honestly so many liberals and Democrats hate this woman I don't think an endorsement from her would really help that much, it might even hurt. To win this we are going to need some Democrats voting for Paul, it is essential.

She’s a tool. If she endorses Ron he’ll kindly reply with a nudge from his ten-foot Palin pole.

Who else endorsed Rand last year? Someone more popular and famous than Palin.

We're going to need some allies.

We don't have that many. Palin seems like one.

We have a problem with Republicans. Moreso than any other candidate, we have Independents and Democrats. But mainstream Republicans apparently don't like the foreign policy much. They do like Palin though.

While it may cost some Dem votes, in the long run it is a helpful endorsement. It will be a two man race between Paul and Romney. Every GOP politician is going to have to take a side or be on the sidelines, so we are going to get endorsements from a lot of more mainstream types. It is better Paul gets her endorsement than Romney.

If it gets down to Ron Paul vs Mitt Romney and Palin comes out for Ron Paul, that would be awesome. If she says "Ron Paul is the real tea party candidate and Mitt Romney is a big governement establishment RINO who won't make the cuts we need" then perfect.

Us PA guys think alike don't we?

This is exactly how I see it coming together. Paul vs Mitt, red state vs blue state, conservative vs liberal. This is 1964 all over again. Sides will have to be chosen and I am confident in the average GOP voter that they will choose a consistent Texas conservative over a flip-flopping Massachusetts liberal. And when the general election rolls around, Paul will be able to pull the indy support needed to win the whole thing. The indys took a chance on Obama and realize they made a huge mistake. The majority will go for the GOP nominee.

Anyone concerned that she recommended Bachmann get her supporters together and get behind someone? Sort of like the pastors asking one of them (her or Santorum) to drop out and throw their weight (supporters) behind the other? How many supporters does she have left to give to Santorum? Will some of them jump ship with her campaign directors and support ROn?

I guess I'm of the school of thought that "If you study long, you study wrong" (i.e. "If you snooze, you lose.")

This is at least the second time that Palin is on record specifically calling out Ron Paul with good things to say.

It's a great thing for many rank & file to hear that it's ok to say the guy's name and associate oneself with him and his small gov't policies.

I approve.

Can't stomach 38 minutes of Palin. Somebody tell us the parts they talk about Paul.

Maybe by defending Paul, Sarah is hoping for a 192% increase sales of her latest book. ;)

And we wonder how the news can come up with a line that Paultards will attack anyone that doesn't give a solid undying pledge of support for RP:rolleyes: That other big name woman that showed support for RP got called a fat pig and got ripped because she didn't think he could get elected.
Oh no but it wasn't us just some troll trying to make us look bad.

Food for thought, for sure.

Perhaps though, we could save our insults until that actually happens. Politics is about opportunity. Like it or not, Paul's message is resounding because the economy is in the tank. This is an opportunity for us to reach out and connect with other mainstream Republicans. The immediate reaction to seeing somebody like Palin dipping her toe in the water shouldn't be to send in the sharks to bite it off.

Good advice. I hope we listen.
