Genetic, or nurture, or societal pressure. Any number of things could have made me the way I am now. Why should I have to fight those things to change who I find attractive, though? I hurt no one by liking brunettes and that preference should not lessen my reputation. As a society we need to get to a point where we stop caring about silly things like who other people find attractive.

I didn't say you had to fight anything. I'm saying that claiming your blonde preference is genetic, without any evidence of that, is silly. Why can't you just choose to like blondes? Why do you need some genetic excuse for what you like?

If their business dries up, expect some of the franchisees to sue Cathy.

The guy is free to say what he wants, but damn, this was a colossally stupid business blunder.

I think there's a whole bunch that we don't know about our subconscious desires and thoughts. My guess is that a lot more than previously expected is beyond our control, or, at the very least, difficult to change.
