Sarah Palin a (small “l”) libertarian

Libertarians have been supporting her since the 1990s. Some facts:

Sarah Palin has spoken to two Libertarian supper club meetings in Anchorage 2005/06

Sarah Palin asked for and received the endorsement of the leadership of the Libertarian Party of Alaska for her Governor’s race in 2006. In fact, the State Chairman of the LP even waved signs for her the last three days of the campaign.

Sarah Palin received the endorsement of her Libertarian opponent Bill Toien in her race for Governor the last day of the race.

Sarah Palin singled out the Libertarian Party to thank them for their support at her Election Night victory celebration, even mentioning that she was not sure she could have won the race without them.

In that same race, and in her race before for Lt. Governor, the social conservatives in Alaska spread a whisper campaign that Sarah Palin was not really a Republican but rather, “a closet libertarian.” She lost her first race for Lt. Gov, some suggest because of her libertarian views.

She is one of our own. Please support her.

I would support her but I will not support John McCain. Besides anybody who hints at another cold war with Russia cant really be one of us

She shares Barry Goldwater's view on foreign policy -- as do I. Our liberty is mud, if we're not willing to defend it abroad. I appreciate Palin very much.

Through NAZI-style "preemptive" war? No thanks.

She is a Dondero-style "libertarian". In fact I think he even went up to Alaska to campaign for her.

1) She shares Barry Goldwater's view on foreign policy -- as do I. 2) Our liberty is mud, if we're not willing to defend it abroad.

1) Ahhh yes, Barry "tactical nukes" Goldwater

2) Defend it against whom, might i ask?

islamoterrajihadifascists?

lol.

What does that mean?

Moose hunting or scatter bombs?

Fuck you.

Leave my country alone. Concentrate on your own backyard.

if she's so libertarian, where are these views/policies arising on the campaign trail?

You won't find them, because she's just McCain's running mate. that's it.

She has nor will never speak against any of his policy plans. She has said nor done anything to propose libertarian Republican stances if she were to be elected alongside McCain. She has chosen politics over principle.

Yes. Ignoring the problem, as you would have us do, doesn't make it go away. Ron Paul is largely correct on what the USA has done to inspire such hatred, but at this point its simply too late to pull out and believe that there won't be any hard feelings. We know for a fact that Iran is building nuclear weapons, and we know for a fact that they are intent on using them against us. Ignoring this because you don't like it, is the greatest betrayal to the cause of liberty. If Paul had not been so naive on this single vital issue, he might very well have had the nomination by now.

Libertarian my ass! Libertarian party is full of neo-cons.

Anyone can speak before a group to get their votes.

Palin is a manipulative power hungry vindictive bitch who can't even raise decent kids (Bristol is a pot smoking whore and Track is a notorious druggie too)

Are there any Ron Paul supporters left?

Or just Imperialists who wonder why the rest of the planet wants to "snot" you.

When are you going to grow up?

"We know for a fact"...care to back those statements up with some actual evidence?

We know you're a shill for the GOP, but you don't have to be so obvious about it.

Voting for "the lesser of evils"=grasping at straws.

Palin is the most graspable straw. You have to be patient with someone whose state of denial is no longer sustainable. It is a tough threshhold to cross.

My threshold died in New Hampshire.

I am watching a country dying.

On your watch.

lol, yea i'd be pissed off too.

Now explain to me how furthering the war will alleviate that situation anymore than leaving would.

Or is it an issue of control for you?

We know for a fact that Iran is building nuclear weapons,

evidence please.

and we know for a fact that they are intent on using them against us.

evidence please?

Ignoring this because you don't like it,

I ignore it b/c it is garbage. Much like i ignore those that would vote for McCain b/c they are garbage, scum of the earth.

is the greatest betrayal to the cause of liberty.

Explain briefly how you define "the cause of liberty."

I'll bet you can't.

and if you can, i get the feeling it is a very different "cause of liberty" than my own... let's hear it.

If Paul had not been so naive on this single vital issue, he might very well have had the nomination by now.

evidence?
