Just proves how powerful the media is. They can take a joke of a candidate who is in dead last and make him first in 3days.

Guys i know a 3rd place hurts slightly but this is a true victory in an actual sense. Sorry, but the voters/listeners/viewers are only doing what they have done for the last 50 years, watching tv. Many of us, apparently, live in the RP bubble. The RP bubble is that when we know the truth, we don't understand how others can't/don't see it, and think just because we communicate with other RP supporters that there is a large majority waking up. While seeing RP double his 2008 results is definitely great, the campaign needs to learn some things, that I think they just haven't done it. Speech coach, national defense, Israel, newsletters...continuing attacks on sinking candidates(Newt), not attack President Obama...

Remember that since Iowa is a caucus state, the straw poll is basically meaningless. It's just what the media reports.

No. The voters are not to blame. They are simply individual fish in a school of fish. The invisible hand that controls them is 100% at fault. Don't give up on your fellow man. Always press on, spread the message, engage with these people, and one by one they will see the truth. Maybe some take longer than others, but never give up. The message is too important.

If you must focus anger, then aim it at the real culprits - MSM and powerful banks/corporations. Personally though, I would avoid negative energy, and try to channel it into positivity.

If the media backs you up they are literally talking about you 20 minutes out of the hour and they pump you up.. It's a lot better to have that then a 30 second ad that you are spending 70k on. I think this is probably the best outcome for us. We basically got a dummy candidate get put in first place.. The Santorum surge will be gone in 3-4 days time once the negative ads start coming out about him. Rush started this santorum surge thing and he timed it right. I think we will take new hampshire and easily take south carolina.

I agree with you about santorum. We should do well in NH. I don't know what to make of SC.

If Iowa works like Minnesota (also a caucus state) I don't think tonight's STRAW POLL awards any delegates at all. Tonight they voted for delegates to attend county conventions, then THOSE conventions elect delegates to the state convention, then THOSE elect delegates to the national convention.

Ron Paul's supporters are the most organized. I FULLY BELIEVE Ron Paul won tonight.

Romney is stuck at his 2008 numbers, and RP doubled his from the year. I just hope there's a plan to win this thing...

Sorry, but the newsletters fiasco has not been handled well at all, especially considering the campaign NEW about this crap for the last 20 years. The fact they bought so much ad space attacking Newt, and very little on Dr. Paul apparently and his record, I think is an issue. Also, the media 4 weeks ago started talking positive on Santorum, and that was the first sign(some around here saw it), that Santorum was after Newt. Perhaps 3rd is the best spot for us, because now all concentration will hit Santorum and he has no record to run on, and it also shows that Romney does not have the momentum of an upswing from 2008, as he is basically at the EXACT same percentage from 2008 as he is now.

Ron is in second in New Hampshire. Gingrich is behind him, and Gingrich is NOT going to get a bump over Ron with tonight's results.
