Others say it is touching but it is touching over and over and over at nearly every appearance on the topic of values, for example, and by this point I consider it exploitation. I don't frankly believe the all choked up on cue bit every time with the same dramatic pauses.

People who know him the best are aware of his record in Congress. I've noticed that the Tribune-Review, the major conservative newspaper in our area, has been hammering him during the primaries and is pretty dismissive of him in the opinion pages. However, he probably still has lots of establishment backers here in PA that he can call on if he stays in the race until the very end...
Still, it's great to hear people refer to him as a "former" Pennsylvanian - since he wasn't even born in our state (unlike Ron Paul!) and had a scandal erupt during his years in the Senate when it was found that he was claiming a shack of a house here as his official PA residence while raising his huge family in Washington, DC and billing PA for cyberschool fees.
