Rick Santorum Santorum endorsed by 'nations oldest & largest' GOP volunteer group

How bad is this for RP? Does NFRA wield a lot of influence in Iowa and in the caucus? Can someone with knowledge explain without sugarcoating it?

Santorum... They will definitely not get Santorum elected president, if the first thing you google about a candidate is "That frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex," it is pretty safe to say he has no chance. He definitely does not have the support to back him. Sigh what a wasted endorsement.

The final round came down to Santorum, Cain, and Perry? What the hell?! After Ron Paul just won 82% of their own strawpoll? What a joke, what a freaking joke.

It could have been worse, they could have backed Cain. I think this is more reflective of santorum's basically living in Iowa for the past however many months. It's not really going to help him that much. I would have liked them to have backed Dr. Paul, but this is really not a game changer. Unless santorum all of a sudden gets millions of dollars to run ads and such, this endorsement is meaningless.

Don't count on it. If Santorum can get those religious nutjobs to vote for him and come in the top 3 in IA, it's going to catapult him into the top-tier.

Establishment wants to prop up more candidates like Frothy Mixture. I think he may be the next Faux Noise darling.

Shows the importance of being a delegate;

Could you explain this more in depth for me, I am from California by the way, it's a closed primary with a winner takes all format. Sorry, I just turned eighteen in the summer, so this process is new to me.

What's the difference from a Pledged and Unpledged delegate?

Edit: Yes! Just checked to see if my voter registration went through that I sent at the end of August right now. I'm a registered voter in the Republican party now. :)

I said a couple of days ago in another post to watch out for Santorum in Iowa. I was feeling a bad vibe about this and it looks like my suspicion might be coming true. Who ever is on the ground in Iowa better step up the game and don't take your eyes off the prize. That means relentless canvassing, phone calling, etc., whatever it takes. The GOP knows the importance of Iowa and Ron Paul supporters better not lose the importance of Iowa. Stop watching the polls. Stop reading the press. Act as if Ron Paul has not one supporter in the whole state. That's the attitude that needs to be preached. Don't get cocky with headlines and don't take anything for granted.

I hope Santorum gets a bump. He's only going to take away Cain and Perry voters, two people I'm way more worried about.
