hmmm.

http://www.salon.com/life/charlie_sheen/?story=/politics/war_room/2011/03/01/charlie_sheen_rand_paul

The Ron Paul coalition was basically an uneasy alliance between serious libertarians and fringe Internet weirdos in thrall to conspiratorial explanations for all that ails the country. The weirdos tended to out-organize and outnumber the serious people, which is why it raised few eyebrows when the doctor's son and campaign surrogate called into the Jones show. But with the GOP establishment halfheartedly embracing Paul's message and wholeheartedly embracing his branding, and with Paul the Younger an actual United States senator, I can't imagine anyone's too happy to see national media attention lavished on Jones.

But the Tea Party connection to this entire Charlie Sheen circus is too entertaining to ignore.

This kind of guilt-by-association sure smacks of desperation to me. It is as if they have given up on arguing actual policy because they know they are wrong.

See, what these political people don't understand is that, the uneducated Jersey Shore watching crowd thinks "crazy Charlie" is cool. calling us "internet weirdos" makes the author sound outdated. We have a chance to be the "hip" candidate this time around.

someone wants charlie sheen to get more politically involved once
he gets his life in order? he was quite blunt if not rude, recently!
who but who is about to run charlie sheen as a political spoiler...?

And Charlie Sheen's dad played the president of the United States on TV...

Soooo.....

They're basically saying that Ron Paul will be president.

LOL. Thread winner!

You know, in a very strange way you have a point. Anyway, the idea that Charlie Sheen is somehow connected to the Tea Party is a laughable sign of desperation on the part of Salon.com. Do they think Sheen mistook Sarah Palin for that porn star that kind of looks like her?

I'm now following Sheen on Twitter. Imagaine if he just starts posting Infowars articles and the like? A couple million people who thought it was funny to "follow" him get some education instead. Of course most won't buy it.

charlie sheen is hilarious. While I don't condone his drug use, the media doesn't seem to realize that he really is the exact same person he has always been. Hasn't "gone off the deep end", but he was always pulling these stunts, while still coming to work etc. and making CBS 1/4 billion dollars.

[thick italian mob accent]Hey Louie, I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy and that guy knows a guy that knows a guy that knows you and says you and the guy my guy knows both like peanut butter and jelly sammiches..the guys a real prick, making you a prick, now boss says i gotta kill ya

Rand needs to remind the media of the Aqua Bhudda injustice. Also I saw today the the media is "under fire" for the way it is treating Charlie Sheen. Rand would do well do dial into this story and connect the dots with some good brief talking points.

Alex Jones has done nothing wrong, by the way.

What disgusting and insulting slander. Don't they realize that Jones and the Paul's have more credibility than they do?

So, because he has also been on Late Night with David Letterman, he must also be in line with Letterman's guests views too, huh? In fact, every show he's ever been on, he knows and talks to and works with all of their guests. It's a grand conspiracy.
