Well, to be honest, I believe Ron Paul believes that the FairTax is a better tax than our current system, which is where he gets this statement. Of course Ron Paul believes that no project is the best tax.

I believe it was on Jay Leno that Ron Paul said he liked a flat tax of ZERO

The Fair Tax is garbage and Ron Paul would NEVER support what amounts to a flat tax. It wouldn't free up business but hamper it.

Ron Paul has said that he would vote for the Flat Tax plan because anything is better than what we have now, but he does not think it is the best plan.
